"In July, Bow, Crossbow and Atlatl users will be able to gain the ability to add a Magic-Absorbing property to any loot missile weapon. This property will work in exactly the same way as an Aegis shield, but has the side-effect of a 10% melee defense penalty. You will be able to grant this property to an item that has been imbued and/or tinkered, but you can’t add an imbue after having added this property"

This is a huge kick in the teeth for archers concerning pvp. The imbue is utterly useless if it cannot be used along with a hollow bow or weeping bow.

I dont even carry an imbued bow for PVP any longer. They are worthless for damage. I mainly use my hollow bow and weeping as a backup for when there are high level melees around.

So now not only do I have to imbue another bow but I get a 10% reduction in melee defence on an INFERIOR damage producing weapon.

You actually think Im going to use it?

A melee gets to use his aegis when toting a weeping weapon or a hollow weapon with no reduction to any abilities... What makes you think its even remotely fair that an archer cannot rely on the same mechanic?

As I posted months ago if you make it an imbue for a loot without weeping properties bow it will be worthless and no one will use it.

You have been teasing archers about fixes and positive changes since January. You having given us meaningless accuracy tweaks and now a useless imbue as a reward for many months of patience. The only positive addition has been hollow bows but even they can be shut down by anyone brandishing the smallest of shields.

My patience is gone.
