View Full Version : Tell us what you think of Treaties in Stone!
Thunder shook the hall. Niarltah paused mid-stride and looked toward the nearest window. Outside, trees bent toward the ground in honor of the wind that threatened to tear their roots from the ground. Further down the hall, Muldaveus’ booming voice drowned out the roar of the wind. The Lugian was still howling about their defeat at the hands of the Isparians.

Niarltah was more concerned with how the Isparians had come to know that they were meeting with the Burun. They had taken several precautions in releasing the information of that meeting and still the Isparians arrived within moments of the treaty’s ratification.

I liked this one. Very foreboding. I really want to know who the person in the last paragraph is.

Has anyone besides me noticed that they have an uncanny resemblance to Voldo from Soul Calibur II? The read, as always was good too.

Wow wow wow wow
My only hope is that this new structure isn't restricted only to lvl 100+ ... I wanna go!!
I think the guy with the leather-covered face may be a mu-miyah of some sort ... but I can't tell whether the dude in the last paragraph is the same guy, or someone different. Whoever he is, he sounds deliciously evil!
And since I'm looking at this from work, and don't have access to the game itself -- is that drudge a new variety, or one of the seraphs/mystics from VoD?

Since they're apparently in a Falatacot dungeon (http://ac.warcry.com/scripts/images/view_image.phtml?id=34242&site=5), I doubt they're Mu-Miyah or any of the usual types of Undead.

The weapon is Faltacot in origin, therefore I think perhaps this is the final dungeon for the armor. Great, I mean Great story :)

A leather bound hand cracked him across the jaw and broke teeth free.
ACK! Yet another nerf??? Helmets no longer cover the lower face? A simple fist can crash through the metal and break jaws?
With mages getting more powerful spells I was wondering how they were going to balance it against melees.

hmph. what I want to know is, if he took Mace, what on earth did he spend his skill credits on that he couldn't at least train Item Enchantment? not cooking, certainly, if lunch is nothing but dry bread.

The purple wand is probably a new singularity weapon. It has the same sparkly effect at any rate. This patch sounds fun :)

the wand is just standard sceptre art. the guy in the olthoi helm and hoary robe seems to be the one in the last paragraph...if you look closely, he seems to be an xbow going onto his lap.
i think those could possibly be blackmire gaunts. i hope they are good enough to warrant replacing my mod war sunstones.
the drudges...im just guessing one of the lower tier sing weapon quest dungeons.
i love the falatacot meets hellraiser look on some of those guys.

Overall, I liked the whole story.
The section with Turdglock (yes, I'm Isparian, I butcher the language), Muldaveious, and Natasha (hehe) was a bit dry imo. For a teaser/story advancement, it seemed to be the same thing, but a new month.
So, they're discussing how the Isparians find out about their plans so fast in their nightly meetings. Well, hope no one tells them most Isparians have nothing better to do than hunt down people like this hehe.
I enjoyed Finn's story, even though he got jacked up. Who takes UA AND Sword? *snicker*. Though UA and Sword > Mace hehe.
The last section was a bit... odd. Some old guy with an xbow is like... waiting for people to come so he can shoot them at his house lol. Sounds like some of those stories of rednecks shooting people from their porches.
The pictures are interesting though.
I'm wondering if the weapons now have the ability to represent the imbue they have on them. Though, I thought Scenario said he'd really like to do that, but the amount of time wasn't quite there for it. Dunno, Scenario and his crew tend to come up with some wierd stuff.
I like the lore stories. Wouldn't mind reading more of them. Hell, even about the histories and past legends of some of the other races. There's tons of old Isparian lore. Just wondering if the same goes for the mossies, banderlings, tumeroks, and the rest. Is there a Ben Tien equivalent in the drudge legends?
I'd love to see more movie clip stuff though. Any chance of that happening on a more common basis?

The old man with the Xbow sounds like the start of a new quest Xbow or has to do with the magic eating xbows and bows.

Actually, the old-man with an xbow probably represents me. Now, stay with me on this lol.
Old man... Heideggar, drunk a lot... can't see.... always complaining...housing... shooting people as they go by... that's _gotta_ be me. I don't wanna get too excited about this, but... what if.... by some chance... Turbine has decided to start putting in new housing love. It was said that "they'd come" to him, and he had made plans so that they would. If there was a reward for someone going to this old man's place, they'd come. Not to mention he's ready for whomever comes. Could be that, or housing gets aggro'ed by monsters.
Dunno, could also mean _absolutely nothing whatsoever_.

i know the feeling finn, walk into a new place thinkin its gonna be awesome only to get sent to the lifestone 3 seconds into the journey... i have a tip though, always keep your mace equipped, helps just a bit,............
Anyway looks like a great patch, cant wait to jump down into that place and get smashed by the hollow golems, and punched by crazy faltacot frankensteins:

look closely you can see stitches down his chest
anyway cant wait till patch day, cya then :D

Why do the falacot have nipple rings?
Wouldn't it simply be easier and less painful for the strap to go all the way to the other end of the armor?
BTW: I don't believe the golem is hollow, I believe it is likely nice new graphics for a diamond golem (I could be wrong). They may be updating creatures looks up till and past the expansion pack so the game doesn't look its age :)

WOW! Too bad I have to wait until Wednesday :(
If the golem is hollow, it better not throw inepts on me!!! I am completely against the use of hollow weapons by monsters.
I'm glad to see another addition to the blackmire quests. I was beginning to worry that i would never finish my suit of armor. If it really is a quest for gaunts, they are going to have to beat the sunstone gaunts and be worth going after. I really wanted to see what the leggings would look like.
The wand is confuzzling me. It could be one of the aegis wands, it could be a singularity wand, it could be the new uber wand of doom. All I know is I want one. (could we get one that is just a bit redder and less purple?)
Has anyone besides me noticed that they have an uncanny resemblance to Voldo from Soul Calibur II?
That was the first thing I thought. If they grab their feet, roll around the floor, and injure people, I have a feeling I will visit my lifestone.
is that drudge a new variety, or one of the seraphs/mystics from VoD?
They look like altereds to me.
Patch sounds like a lot of fun. I can't wait to see what new shiney wands we get this month :D (WOOT!!! Crits!!!!)

Is a Chorizite Golem even possible?
I mean, Chorizite is anti-magic, and Golems are magic..
Uzi-El
07-13-2004, 08:57 AM
And since Pyreal is basically solid mana, Pyreal Golems should go up like nukes when struck. Little "rules" like that tend to be ignored these days.
(Then again, items with Chorizite in them still seem to be able to have some sort of spells on them, so maybe low-quality Chorizite can be buffed in some way.)
The dungeon with the drudge looks like North Quid. While the graphics on the wand are similar to the Quid Orb (in the sense that both are purple), I don't see why they'd upgrade the quest by changing the orb into a wand...

Qyan..you mtalk about shendolain arent you..quid is blue :)
The Quiddity Orb is purple. Eye of the Quiddity is blue, quid weapons are blue, but the orb that is made from two halves is purple--and the dungeon looks like the northern dungeon.

1. I like character based vignettes such as Finn. I appreciate that a part of the story is from our (the players) perspective.
2. Chorizite Golems! Animated elements the golems are.
3. We are playing a story that will eventually come to an end and then AC2 picks up. Throw us a bone. Will we (ACDM players) become part of AC2 at some point? AC3?

What is technically the beginning of AC2, the end of the Golden Age and the beginning of the Fifth Sending, doesn't happen for another hundred years or so. We'll see hints at what will eventually come (the Burun, the Human/Tonk/Lugian alliance), but we won't have to worry about tangling with BZ or the like.

so frustrating, not nearly worth the stress
