Do something about unbuffed melees comming back and killing people. Its redicuous to think that a unbuffed melee I just killed can come back in 5 seconds and kill me.

yeah.. or a mage delay casting--- then a fast cast right after -- so well that two arcs are coming nose to azz withen 5 feet of eachother and one shooting the melee

If you just killed a melee, how can he come back 5 secs later and kill you unbuffed. There is a 5 min timer until your PK again. Why would a melee wait 5 mins and purposely not buff to come back and kill u?

Or did I miss something....

PKL doesn't matter, you'll die, lose nothing anyways, who cares.

If the melee came back and killed you within 5 seconds, then you got lucky the first time around....

and its not like you died while PK.. you didn't drop anything or get any vitae....PK HAS a timer..PKL doesn't need one...its supposed to be for fun...if you want serious PvP with vitae/dropping items and timers.... go PK.

If I didn't lose items or get vitae, I would really enjoy killing someone and watching them kill me 5 seconds later. That'd be pretty strange. Or vice versa haha! That'd be a useful ability if you get cheaped out. :D

How does that happen? Like, did you kill the guy at his lifestone by tanking him, and then he popped back up and hit you again and killed you?

It is kind of funny that there is no timer for PKL, though.

Yeah, if you want real PK: GO PK! And then sit there at the Ayan LS wondering if you'll ever see someone else who's PK. So, isn't it ironic that the suggestion to be a real PK is to go red and then not PK because there's no one to fight? On the good side, you'll never lose your DIs to someone looting you!

PS - the PK "revival" stuff has been tried on at least my server. PK will never be back until they give red PK something worth not being PKL over.

VC, usually you'll kill a guy and he'll immediately go /pklite. Since you're still vulned, he can then war you (I'm 150 grief and they still land enough to be concerning) or start meleeing you again. It's really annoying in group fights because you have level 100 hollow people doing retarded damage and coming back 20 seconds after you kill them.

Ah, I see. So there is no animation like with /lifestone to turn PKL? You just type it in and go? I didn't know it was that fast. Then it makes sense.

I thought so. I don't get it then. You would have plenty of time to heal up. That would mean your opponent would die instantly from virtually any attack, having no buffs and all.

Like a year ago me and a friend were play fighting and practicing mage vs. melee at our houses. I had a lightning katar that I had BLed down to 0 damage on a sword character with no UA skill that I had been hitting the other guy with so that I didn't kill him. Another one of our friends at the house next to us came in unbuffed. Just playing around, the guy I was play fighting with casted lightning vuln on the guy with no buffs. I hit him on speed with the afformentioned lightning katar and it killed him in one hit. He had good armor and everything, just no buffs.

In other words, you could punch someone to death with no buffs if you just bldg vuln them. I am really not understanding the issue here lol.

It's just annoying that people can return to the battle so quikcly. There should be a one minute timer until one can go PKL after a death. Is it a priority issue? Definitely not. It's generally easier to kill these players who come back immediately since they'll be unbuffed.

So you're fighting 6 phantom melees that do ridiculous damage unbuffed... you kill a few, there's 3 left, wait the other 3 come back.... still 6

Mer pointed out the main problem. Let's say you're fighting a 2v1 and you kill 1 guy. If you're close to a recall point, you have to kill the 2nd guy in 15 seconds or so because that's how long in takes to turn PKL. So in <30 seconds, you're back fighting 2v1. It gets even worse the more people you have on you or in larger group fights.
