Getting dropped on connect screen

Just getting back to the game, gone for about a year, and now I'm unable to get a full update. I get to 4% and crash to desktop. First attempt got to 55% tho before server lost. The only thing that has changed in my absence is my ISP and modem. DSL before and cable now. MS ME OS btw.

I think Ive seen something simialar before? Have you tried to uninstall all of the AC files on the computer and then re-installing them? It could be because of a corrupted portal.dat file or something.

I did uninstall a year ago, but I'll give it a go again. Right now I'm ticked enough to try anything :-P

I have had this problem before normally I have to go and repair ACDM with CD. then it will load if not you can try Dling the portal dat off turbine webpage and that will update you currently and youcan start to play. An btw welcome back.
