Why is it, every Sunday as the day goes on, Packet Loss gets higher and higher?
Current average Packet loss is 6%.

What kind of connection do you have?

Cable connection.
This has been an on-going problem, for the most part packetloss is bellow 2%, we run into some glitches like having to run around the same corner 3 times, but it is still playable. Sunday nights are the worst, the packet loss is around 6% with spikes to 12%. Which is Unplayable, and if we do try to play we have many deaths do to we just do not know what is happening in game.

Cable. The biggest token ring ever. How many people around you have cable and how many people do you think probably do a lot of downloading on sunday nights? Also, how far away is the cable company and the routing box?

I chose DSL over Cable because a couple of friends told me that they kept their MODEM because so many in their area had cable that during peak times the MODEM was faster.
This was anecdotal and they swear it was true, but they both may still have been exaggerating.

How many people have cable in my area? Hmmm I truly do not know. The cable company has an office 3 towns away, and there nearest routing box is less then 8 miles away, I think...
There may be some truth to what you are saying to the increased downloading on Sunday nights, is it my problem? I will have to run some speed and download tests on all nights and see if Sunday's test meet up to other nights...
I did have DSL at one time, I dropped them because there service stunk... I am being kind here.
Every time I called because of no connection to the internet they had me un-install Internet Sharing. Then they would start to trouble shoot just to tell me that the issue is on there end. They would tell me this after being on the phone with them for over an hour and this was happening 4 to 5 times per month.
I switched to cable and the service was much better, not great but better. My down time is maybe once or twice per year and when I call they never had me un-install anything.
If there is any test or anything that you can think of that I can check please let me know..

Think of cable as one huge token ring. The first person that the line hits gets the most bandwidth. Farther down the line, the less bandwidth. Now, the difference between DSL and Cable is that DSL is completed dedicated to you. No one else effects your speed unless they connect to the same DSL modem. With cable, everyone on that line all the way up to the router effects you. If some jackhole decides to download every episode of Inuyasha one night, everyone is going to feel it. That is when you setup a listening post for certain protocals, find out where it is coming from, and then hit the guy with a DOS attack on that protocal. If you manage to get an open port, send him a net send message stating that you are the RIAA and you are going to press charges if he doesnt stop that. Well, it's a suggestion.
