A vote for Elder Play

As many others I was excited to read some informations about the upcoming expansion. But then I was quite disappointed that the one truly new gamepart, the landowning elder game play was taken out and postponed because of negative reply from player base.

I don't think this is a clever move because in general those who are against something are always more vocal than those who are pro.
Beside that you gave very little information about your vision behind land owning so of course there were several suggestions and a lot of them might have led into the total wrong direction.

Maybe it would be time to tell us your vision about landowning and then look at the echo of the players. I think this sort of gameplay can bring a whole new aspect to AC and would only justify the introduction of an expansion. A little better grafic is nice but that can't make a real expansion.

The last one gave housing. You can say good and bad things about it but it really was something that changed AC drastically. A new race, some rares and better textures will hardly do and I doubt that raising the level cap will do any good to game play.

Please reconsider the withdrawal of the (essential) elder game and the landowning idea.

I read that the Elder game, would be added for the expansion owners in the fall of 05
If you think about it, it will be alot more balanced for our players by then, since 90% is worked out now, that last bit can be perfected, With time right? ;)

I am happy with the expansion as it is announced.
The Elder game system, I can wait for.
New race and graphics is something I want "NOW!!" hehe

Just think, if your 126+ now, you will get alot of new 'perks' to choose from, and get 'ready' for the release of the Elder game system when it comes out.


As for me, the new level cap is just *grumbles*....

in 5 years of casual play, my highest is level 91 (I never experience chained or macroed like so many other folk.. )

The new level cap makes me a bloody newbie again, for about the 5th time on the same character hehe.

Oh well... I doubt I will ever see the new goodies of being 126+

I'm with Ghett =P little over 4 years of play and my highest chars are a level 98 sword and a 58 dagger... I have time limits that often prevent me from even power hunting when I'm actually online... and as far as macroing goes, if I'm not sitting at the computer, it gets turned off by dad (not to mention the people that own multiple accounts and ACM them all at once, swearing one char from each account to one char, ACMing them all, I think that's just stupid, if one person can play multiple accounts at a time, i should get the same kind of xp as that player for the actual work I do to hunt!)



Kinda strayed off-topic, there =P I can wait for the Elder system... I would have liked it to be in the expansion... but a graphics update of the size they're doing IS worthy of an expansion. You'll see when you pull that 100 MB disk out of it's packaging and dialuppers LIKE ME will be glad that they made it an expansion instead of a download.
