With all the rustle and negativity going on about the expansion, I just want to say, it looks great, really great.

New Max Level:
Wonderful way to reward players who have been playing for some time. I'm not quite up there yet, but it's a great idea. I know a lot of people don't bother hunting as much after level 126, this will give them good reason to. :)

Augmentation Gems:
Another good reason to level up and hit 126! :D

Viamont:
By far a really, really, really cool idea. I love all the pictures I saw of their land. The NPC shop looks really cool. The armor looks even cooler, but all the armor is going to look pretty nice with the updated graphics. Covenant shields, for instance, are looking mighty nice. The racial armor reminds me a bit of Guild Wars, it looks amazing. I'm already prepared to make my Viamont character.

Graphics Update:
Need I saw more? This is going to allow you much more freedom when making items. It looks great already, but it can always look nicer, right? *nudge left* The Reedshark picture was worthy of some drool, a lot of drool.

The Ruschk:
I really don't want to wait to see this in-game. *laugh* This is a nice looking creature, but then again.. I really like the updated graphics on the Reedshark too.

Rare Drops:
Pretty cool idea, great way to slowly reward players for playing. Sure, not everyone will get one, but what's the fun in that, you might get lucky! ;)

Overall this looks like a pretty killer expansion. I know I'm going to be on my the edge of my seat wanting more until it's released. You've already started putting a good amount of work into it and it's looking nice. It's a shame I have to wait, but all good things take a little time. I'll toss in my idea for Aluvians here too.

Most Aluvians feel they get the shaft on racial balance, myself not included. My idea is to create a Stamina Conversion skill. Basicly what it would do is reduce stamina consumption during a feat of dexterity or while defending. It sounds silly, but it'd be really helpful for melee and missile chars. A little less helpful for mages, but it'd still help balance things out. Other races could grab it for 2 credits or something.

There's actually a form of this ingame....One of the benefits of having high endurance is that it makes you burn less stamina when attacking, to a minimum of one point per swing. So expanding on that wouldn't sound silly in the least.

I did not know that. :)

odd...as far as I knew stam burn was a direct result of the weight of your shield and weapon...

100 Innate Endurance changes things a ton, I tried it on a melee character and got him to 81. He almost never need Stamina Food because he never ran out of stamina(because of regen, not amount. The insane amount of health was nice too.

I think the implementation of rares will be a mistake; when somebody finds a tier 5 rare, the rest of the players wont find anything till the next month, thats too scarce in my opinion. Maybe make them drop less often than majors, otherwise it will become frustrating to hunt for rares or in the best case, rares wont be a significant factor for the game.

when somebody finds a tier 5 rare, the rest of the players wont find anything till the next month,

Incorrect

What they said was on average, one tier 5 rare will drop every month over all servers.

That means the CHANCE of drop are 0.000000000001% something per kill (or something like that, thats why they checked to see how many mobs we kill every month, to get to these averages).

It works the same way as motes are 1% on certain golems and 5% on others

You could still find 5 tier 5 rares all on the same corpse, then your mate could find 10 on the next. But thats REALLY REALLY unlikely (lots of reallys)

So if one guy on Solclaim finds the tier 5 rare today, you *STILL* have the same chance of finding one tomorow, and thats 0.000000000001%

ie, someone else finding rares doesn't really affect you

That's just it, you can't hunt for rares. It's completely random. It's just a way to reward players on a random basis rather than a one time quest. This way, everyone has a chance to get something special, if they hunt. Maybe you will get one, maybe you wont.

On an off note, the advanced combat interface is nice. :)
