Well, Since I got nerfed with the new passup I guess the level cap will really do me in. I cant hunt, Im lucky to hunt a buff cycle a week. Im far too busy helping peeps in my allegiance and I wouldnt change that for anything. My passup is bad to say the least but need the peeps under me for rank and a few just cuz Im so darn loyal to them as they have been to me. So... I guess when I do get to hunt Ill be hunting lower level critters than I most of the time, I will be 155ish, and will probably be 155 forever, missing out on the 200 req stuff and beyond. You KNOW thats coming, higher requirements. And now Im limited on who can swear into my allegiance. I was so happy when I got to 126 so a couple of my friends could swear in but they wouldnt be able to after expansion. They were "higher" level than me according to the new cap. Not sure what Im gonna do about it, the name change really upset me especiallly since someone made a toon with my old name. They were nice enought to delete it but I doubt the next guy will be. AND noone complained, I did it myself out of fear. Oh well. Its been real fun and I hope it stays that way. It is yet to be seen. BTW I have NEVER chained or macroed, and passup was bad on its best day, just worse now since they nerfed it. All in all I think this is the best game available and just hope it stays that way.

I see your concerns. Those who are very high levels will have to group together now if they have no monarch, they can only swear to someone above them.
Most of my directs are non active on Solclaim but they have many who are active under them. Rather than be forced to drop my friends and rearrange my downline, I would rather not have their xps. I will be another monarch left behind, I have too much to do to level. I wonder who will lead them in all the new high level content (and I am sure it is coming).

You do realize that 155 ISNT a low level toon.....right?
AND
If they are sworn to you now they can remain sworn to you....if you lose a vassal or follower its due to them breaking.

Yes, and i am already hunting lower level creatures a lot of the time cuz Im not a mage so when I hunt alone I cant do caul or vod. My fault my problem. But lets say over the course of time I actually DO find time to hunt and level a bit. As I get bigger, say 200, ALL creatures will be lower than me reducing the xp earned from them. And yes, as long as every single person in the alleg stays put we are ok, Of course that wont happen. Someone will break and someone under them will want to come back and not be able to. You think this would be rare? Its happened several times the last few months in that those same people would not have been able to swear back in if it happened after expansion. Ive said it before and Ill say it again. The social system in this game is based on loyalty. Its a tragedy if ONLY ONE person is unable to swear to the alleg they feel loyal to. It will be more than one, but doesnt have to be. One is bad enough.

Once you have a vassal it is allowed to pass you - just if they break they cant swear back.
However - it does not mean that they cant get back into the family - unless they have surpassed everyone in the entire monarchy. It just means they cant swear directly to you.
We have around 2500 in our family and our monarch has time to hunt with us and quest with us all the time. Mostly because we all work together.
Perhaps allowing others to help out too would give you more time to play. Either way, I would keep an extra set of mansion items available for emergencies.

"The social system in this game is based on loyalty. Its a tragedy if ONLY ONE person is unable to swear to the alleg they feel loyal to."
I just wanted to point out that loyalty is a two-way street. I'm loyal to my vassals, as in I wouldn't break from the clan without consulting them first. Matter of fact, I wouldn't even break from my patron without having a chat first. :)
I'm sorry, but I still feel that the good this will do (stopping the mini chains and the selling of xp) outweighs the bad, your example.

Do you honestly think it would be that difficult for them to code the allegiance system to allow any 126+ character to pledge to any other 126+ character?
Everyone thinks the sky is falling without giving any proper thoughts on how easy it is to deal with some of the issues.
