Either summonable pets or tameable mobs.

Yes or no and why.

I think pets are great fun. My char in the other MMORPG I play is a pet class. However, I am not sure it's such a great idea in AC just yet becaide of balance issues and AI.

sure, i think that would be very cool. if they could add them and they would have a good ai and be balanced i would be all in favor off that.

i do doubt it would be possible :(

I'd like to see pets, even if they were just mindless lil things that were hooked in my cottage and wandered about the yard *chuckles*

I still would like to see our pack dolls able to be held, and perhaps there could ne a new inventory type slot, on the shoulder of the player, where only a packdoll can go, then it would sit on your shoulder in combat
hehe
but seriously, pets would be fun, and I really don't care if my pet if I had one, could fight, I just want it for fun.
Someone steal the AI code for Creatures 3, then add it in for pets, soon we'd have them take over Dereth!

I've got no interest in pets whatsoever.

Cheers.

I've always enjoyed having pets. When I played AC 2 I had a Feral Intendant and a human enchanter.

Some types of pets I've been thinking of would be like magic summoned pets. Like a Wisp that cast war spells for war magic, a healing Wisp for life, a pet Golem for creature, and a hovering pet sword and shield that increase your attack/defense or such for item magic. An additional new skill for controlling other forms of pets would be neat as well. They could apply timers/flags allowing you to summon only 1 at a time every 5 or so minutes or such. They should be designed to assist you more so than do everything for you.

Well...

How about pets in PvP?
And has anyone seen how well pets work in AC2 (huge pathing issues, etc..).

Pets are fun though.
