alright im not getting into the technical issues (in and of a sense) but, Turbine has a rather disconnected storyline currently. it would be nice for them to finish this up and come out with a HUGE new story for The Throne of Destiny, personally i would like to see more dealing with Old Empyrean culture and such, i love the history of dereth, from before us Isparians arrived. Something to do with; the many more forms of magic that gaerlen hints at, the technology (both magical and technical) they had such as the olthoi world, the exploration of other worlds, and things like this, including some of their gods, and just basic culture, please respond with your thoughts. also, is asheron ever going to bring the Empyrean back out of portal space?

I don't feel that the Empyreans will return anytime during the course of AC1s life. Myself, from what I've gathered, the expansion's story will center around the coming of the Viamont peoples. And from the way Turbine speaks of them, it isn't going to be pretty.

I remember before Dark Majesty came out, there were so many loose threads, but it all built-up to Dark Majesty and made a lot of sense, while continuing with the story arc intended for all players and not just expansion players. I feel the same with the Viamont story. The burun will continue to be our main threat, but come expansion time the Viamont will join the bandwagon of general hate towards us players.

It sounds like ToD will be like DM with a small, limited story arc made just for the new land mass. Like the young olthoi queen there will be viamontian villians with a series of quests and lore telling a story.

Really I would doubt if any of next year's story arc could take place on the new land mass since not everyone is buying the expansion and they don't want to alienate a portion of their players.

Well, I never said that it would become the main story arc, just said that strings will spawn from the current arc leading towards the arc involved in the ToD storyline. Kind of a way to encourage players to get the expansion, so they can follow the whole of the story, instead of just living off the tidbits provided.
