This is what should happen at 126. It should still show fireworks at have the message above the message being shown. Would be horrible if you were leveling and were 125 before expansion, and then they release it and you miss out on fireworks.

Vlaid, after the expansion, there will be no more "Fireworks", no one will ever reach 275. ;)

Let's hope everyone reaches 126 before the expansion so they can experience being at the "top". :)

Maybe they will add fireworks for different levels? Maybe a little mini firework thing at 125, current 126 one at 200, then something new and bigger at 275?

I wouldn't say it will NEVER be reached..... take a look at treestats page below... already a 260 as is...

http://treestats.com/index.php?Type=Rank&Rank=TotalXP&Server=0

Granted it might take them another 4 years... but it is possible..LOL ;)

Unless they change things, 260 would be the highest obtainable, everything would be maxed out.

Not sure why you say no one will ever hit 275.

They are deciding to give more skill credits (how often uknown at this point) but you have new skills to put xp into b/c of that. Also, you will have augmentation gems to put xp into.

I can't beleive they would purposely put an unreachable level in game.

Yinishi, lol, one thing you don't seem to get is the fact that the game is NOT LIKE TREESTATS. You will coninue to level and get exp like nothing. Lets say theoretically if you put all your exp up to uh, 120 into a skill then you maxed it out with tesseras. Next, you drop the skill and gain 4.3 bil unassigned. The game would still register you as being 120, even though you have 4.3 bil unassigned. You could keep the max unassigned but your total experience would still go up until you hit 126. This is the same with expansion. Even if theres an unassigned exp cap, and you have reached it, YOU WILL STILL LEVEL.

Also, 275 is just as attainable as 126 was. It will just take time. Expect dungeons in expansion for high level chars that have high exp yield, maybe even double that of caul as it is currently before nerf.

Actually, if things continue as they are and there are no surprises in this regard, I'd expect people to reach level 275 within 2 months after the expansion is released. And that may be a generous estimate.

Actually, from what I gathered, the 126+ levels will work just like treestats does. Treestats adds up all of the xp in your skills plus unassigned xp and uses that as your total XP. That's just what the powerpoint presentation said they're going to do (what they didn't say is whether they're going to store this number in the database as a 64-bit number, or recalc it each time like TS2 does).

Anyways, like mistress mentioned, either way that they do it, there will be more skills to put XP into, so you wouldn't "max out" at 260.

However that does bring up an interesting question, since unassigned XP still caps at 4.2 billion, will you stop earning XP if you max out unassigned under the new system?

I will be very disappointed if my character misses out on his big day (126) simply because the expansion pack came along and created a new top level.
There's no reason that they couldn't give characters with a starting date prior to the expansion pack release a fireworks show at 126 then another at 2xx.
These are the kinds of things that can get overlooked and really hurt peoples loyalty to the game.

Hehe, well I suppose if we really want fireworks we could do the wedding quest just before 126th, then get the gems and shoot them off hehe.

Been thinking about this....I think having fireworks at 126 for a milestone is a good idea. Then at 275, beef up the firework show even more. :)

After you max out your skills you still have to max out your XP. So high tinks probably isnt even done yet.
