A Link To the Story - Beggining To Present

I was very unfortunate to come in after most of the Main Live Events happened. In fact, I started in June 2002. I don't know much about what happened before then and really didn't start reading lore till about a year ago. I was wondering if there was something someone wrote up or even if Turbine themselves have anything that I could possibly read to familiarize myself with the history of our characters. Pretty much all I know is that Asheron opened a portal we landed and started kicking tail ;)

CoD are great, a good place to start is their Synopsis:

It's a little outdated now, but it's still the best summary I've seen of the lore ^_^

As for the storylines that have happened already, there's this page hosted by the zone:

It only has the story up till just before the end of the Gaerlan arc, so it's about 2 years out of date now, but it's a pretty good, readable summary of what happened storyline wise every month... In fact, someone really should get a copy of all that saved in case the zone takes down their page when Turbine take over billing!
