Heya! This artical --> http://www.fuzeqna.com/asheronscall/consumer/kbdetail.asp?kbid=148
Describes my problem perfectly, but unfortunatly doesn't leave me with a solution. See, I turned windows firewall off, and turned the routers firewall off, and I still can't connect. I can't even connect when I plug my computer directly into the dsl box, bypassing the router entirely.
Is there any other problem that could produce this error? Is there a way to specifically test whethor the ports are open? Is there a function in windows that closes ports or restricts packets?
My system is as follows
Centrino 1.6 ghz
1.5 gb ram
Ge-Force FX 5200 w/ 64 megs ram
Windows XP with SP 1&2
Connecting via wireless to linksys router, internet via Bell Sympatico
Happy to supply more information as needed. Hope you can help!
