Keep getting booted back to desktop

I constantly am getting booted back to desktop. It first happened while hunting with my patron after /mansion recalling. Now as soon as I try to log in, I get booted while I'm still in the tunnel. AC just closes out.

I'm not running decal, or any other 3rd party program.

can anyone help me?

I'm getting the exact same thing. Not using Decal or any other 3rd party programs. I removed and re-installed AC, updated that file suggested in the FAQ section of cust svc, I even did a restore on my computer to a date a week ago. Still the same thing, I get booted back to desktop while still in the tunnel. I have multiple accounts and they all do this. I even went to Verdantine (where I've never been before) and created chars and they couldn't get in either! I spent 2.5hrs on the phone with Microsoft just two days ago getting AC to work because of a broken Zone file, please tell me this is just some server thing that needs to be fixed and not another nitemare to be dealt with on my end!

Sometimes you will time out while logging in if your 3d rendering options are set too high. As quickly as you can while portalling into the world enter the following command:
@render radius 5

It may not help but it certainly will not hurt.

Me neither. I can log into mule chars, as long as I don't move them. I've even tried turning off all sounds and all visual effects turned off or all the way down. I've re-installed/updated the latest video and sound drivers. Short of wiping my entire hard drive I've done every single suggestion I've ever found on the subject. I even got Winblows SP2, yick. Are Phatts and I the only ones getting this? The only thing I haven't tried is having someone else log into my "broken" chars. But I only trust one person to do that and he's MIA.

:D Thanks to Flynn, apparently my cell.dat was corrupted. Check out this link http://forums.ac.turbinegames.com/showthread.php?t=13676 to see where you can download the new one. They're large files so they take a min to unzip and copy to the folder. Also, make sure you don't have ANY other folders named Asheron(whatever) that your dumb ()&$#@&* laptop is trying to access when running AC. Nods to Fatal Fizzle who told me this originally, and whom I ignored, as usual ;b
I CAN PLAY AGAIN YES! The big hint was that only SOME chars were broken, the rest would only break once I tried to move them.
