I just led three fellows through Bm4 lvl 100+. We got past the trials and to the boss. In the boss room people kept on losing connection... when we finally had everyone back we attacked... massive amount of frost walls.. =) Then people started dropping like flies (their connections) .. I myself got booted just as the boss died and came back as fast as i could...this happened to several people during the fight...when i was able to log back in..the boss and barrier were dead and my buds were holding the door for me...I ran with them to the statue and clicked it and went to the rewards room...everyone clicked the sarc and got nuthing but debuffs...all three fellows.... everyone got their spells or other item but no pants at all for anyone. This was very strange...and the disconnects were server side dropping connections because my connections rocks and i dont drop like that plus im network techy and i know client side explosions and server side drops. Please look into this..take three full or almost full fellows into their and you may be able to see the problems we experienced.
I told everyone that I know from previous experience with gliches that the Envoys cant give awards as compensation... so they were screwed ..I told them I would run it again this week for them...but I think what we are gonna find is that we get to the end of the quest and they all will not be able to get any rewards because of their quest timers were set today. This just happened so around 12:00 midnight to 12:15 EST. It really sucks to waste 2 hours of your playing time and not get what you went for because of the servers.
Thanks.

did they kill the boss or just the door. Talking about forst walls, sounds like the door when down before the boss. Therefore the boss is killed by fate and NOT a fellow. Therefore, no rewards for you.
also be aware, only the fellow that kills the boss gets the rewards. If someone lagged out and came back in and was never let back into a fellow, and he/she got the kill, and since no fellow, no reward.

Sorry to hear about your quest =(
When you go back later this week, you'll be able to get the leggings, but not any of the other rewards for a full cycle of moons.
Our fellow had gotten to the rewards room after killing the barrier, but by mistake we didn't kill the boss (didn't die with the barrier either), we all got rewards but no leggings. Went back a few days later, got back to the rewards room and got our leggings :)

hmmmm we were casting wall spells targetted at Plog which is still in the direction of the barrier...wonder if the wall did go down before Plog. Does any of this make a difference IBN??
And to further clarify..no one from any of the three fellows got the leggings.
only the other items.

Sharpy it makes a huge difference.
When the wall goes down, ALL monsters(including Plog) are killed "By Fate". Therefore 'Fate' receives the kill and can get the leggings, but not you...

Im willing to take that as the answer but others have said that Pplog doesnt die when the barrier goes down. ?????
And the lack of reply by Turbine is a lil disturbing to me

Sharpy,
You started this thread on Tuesday, IBN previously said that it can take several days for him to collect the information that he needs to provide a response. He is not a member of the live team, so I doubt he doubt he designed, implemented or tested this quest.
That means he has to go and talk to live team. I've worked for a long time in maintenance of field software. Customer service, sales, marketing, system test and stability weren't allowed to just walk in or call asking question unless it was something really important (e.g. Guys - Verizon is a bit upset all the pay phones on their network are giving free phone calls).
Actually they could call and drop by (assuming I was in the office and not in meeting - getting my teeth drilled or down in one of the labs). Generally, all that happened in this case would be - I am kind of busy. I will put you down in the planner and get back to you. If you do not hear from me in a couple days - please ask again.
It is a difficult process finding which line(s) of code are defective when you know there is something wrong with a system with millions of line of code of which 99.999% you did not write and you are not sure what it does after years of maintenance update. It is not a task that you can just interrupt and return to easily.
It does not matter whether you are trying to follow one nested procedure call after another by code reading or using the debugger examining the actual program flow and variables.
A similar problem occurs when you trying to modify the software to add a new feature. All too often make the change and nothing happens or some other part of the system fails. Suddenly, you are starting at the screen with your heart in your mouth going I committed to providing this change in the next patch set (in Turbine case - next monthly prop) that means I have to finish before I go home tonight so that the update goes into the next build for the testing group.
I set aside time each day to deal with walk ins, phones calls, emails, customer service reports and bug reports. I set aside time for weekly meetings where the various groups could express their concerns. Depending on how easy the requests were and the time available it could take a couple of days before I had time to respond to a customer representative like IBN.
Then you have to add the time it takes for IBN to read your thread and find time to write a well written response. That is assuming the response I gave was had a high confidence level. Sometimes, I would have to respond, I am not sure. Can you ask the testing team to try it?
In case, you want answer about how a quest works. It may be that Turbine wants the players to figure it out with out providing hints. Or how much to say about how the quest works.

Sure i understand that investigating this takes time...
BUT it only takes a second to write.."Im looking into this"
and if IBN is the customer rep liason he knows that no response speaks as much as a response.
So letting someone know you are on it or being listened to is important.
As a customer rep he understand this im sure or he wouldnt have the position with a company like turbine that cares about their customer base.

In the industry that I work in - silence is not accepted. Every customer service report requires one of the following quick response:
1) CSR received and we are going to ignore it. This response may or may not come with an explanation why nothing further is going to be done.
2) CSR received - please submit money or give us a support account number.
3) CSR received - The answer is attached or can be found - reference xxxx.
4) CSR received - under investigation - if no response bug us again in xxx days.
5) CSR received - held in queue - if no response bug us again in xxx days.
This is not to say the customer will accept response 1 through 5. At least, the customer has the option of accepting the response or going to the escalation procedure.
