View Full Version : Give AR Weapons the Human Slayer property

This would make AR weapons better the weepings in the long run, which is what I've heard say is a goal for you guys. During the first few beginning tinks, the weeping will still be better. As it gets higher and closer to full 10x tinked, the AR would be surpass the weeping in damage, and there you have it: loot gen AR weapons better then weeping!
Does that make sense?
*edit* If you can't just give every AR the human slayer property, then how about a quest that adds human slayer to any loot gen item, have it on a 2 week timer or something and can layer with other special properties. Like this, if you wanted you could have a CS human slayer or something. It would make loot gen weapons better in PvP and wouldn't effect PvM.

Just increase the percentage of armor AR ignores. Make it so that a good AR definitely does more damage than Weeping.
Weeping has the advantage of being shield hollow + cant be loathered.

But increasing the amount of armor AR ignores would effect PvM. Human Slayer wouldn't have any effect on PvM, and would make it better then weeping in PvP.

Or you could keep tinkering the H*## away from pk.
Alot, and I mean alot of pks do not like tinkering one little bit. We want to pk, not farm salvage for hours on end, thanks.
Tinkering being an option on the same level as a Weeping (at 10x): Fine
Tinkering the only option: screw pk, I'm done tinkering
Seriously, I never, ever, in my life, want to tinker ever again. Horrible, horrible stuff, and this coming from someone just out of basic (how to handle boredom and tediousness 101).
i just want human slayer imbue, period.

Hmmm...
If it's not a challenge, why bother?
Hypocrisy?

Yes that is true, I thought about that. While I am not a big pvm expert I think AR weapons are kind of useless in pvm as it is.
They are good in VOD when you group up and go hunting there. And it wouldnt be bad to encourage that more.
I am just afraid that human slayer imbue will give us even more problems than currently.
The thing is, if they let weeping weapons be as they are now, they will still be decent as a secondary pvp weapon.
The AR weapon should do alot of damage, but be easy to counter. I.e., taking out a shield, or loathering.
I think this solution might just be the best. Plus it would be really easy to just change the AR factor a little, so we wouldnt have to wait a year or so for 'tech time'.

Being bored into a coma is not a challenge. Alot of work (and yes, if it's boring and unenjoyable I do consider it work), yes. But alot of work is not, in itself, challenging.
I play AC to have fun, something tinkering is not in any way, shape, or form.

It's possible for special properties to scale differently in PvM and PvP. I suggested it here. (http://forums.ac.turbinegames.com/showthread.php?&postid=139354#post139354) Ibn replied that it's been talked about and may happen in the future (but not too near.)
