View Full Version : Another Question Regarding "Raids"
First of all I am not even sure those can even rightfully be called "raids" anymore. There was a virindi "summit" at South Obsidian rim, there was also "gathering" of golems in the dires. Both of those seemed to have been in remote locations and mobs didn't seem to bother us, e.g. they wren't exactly attacking any towns or settlemnts. So what is the deal?
And golem gathering .. what was that all about? Golems are automatons, they are not exactly sentinent from what I understand, were they also "driven out" by burun migrations?
Any ideas? Comments from devs? Bueller?

Well some of the raids has made me suspicious. A lot of the creatures that attacked towns were altered creations of Aerbax/Ler Rhan or have some connection to the duo, and all of them appeared to attack towns in military style.
I know on Leafcull, the last town raid occured on Caul and during this there was another global about Mgrauleshk raiding the Temple of Izji Qo. Perhaps the town raids were meant to keep us preoccupied, so the Burun can continue on with their plans without the Isparians interfering.
I find it strange comparing the Elemental town invasions and Olthoi Insurgence to these series of town raids. In my opinion, there isn't a significant amount of Burun on the landscape to cause that many raids with as many invaders as we've experienced. Maybe the reports of Burun and/or other creature activies were interpreted wrong.
Of course I could be wrong in my assumption (lol), I just have a feeling like there's something more going on behind the scenes. I don't mean its necessarily Aerbax/Ler Rhan. However I do think there's a possbility that "someone or something" may be responsible for organizing the town raids.
Anyways, it's just a thought I had ;)
