How good is the graphics upgrade really going to be?

We haven't seen anything yet and i'm a little worried.

Don't get me wrong, the reason I play AC is because of the gameplay and character developement etc. But as I look at other games, I'm beginning to get a little jealous of their lush landscapes and interesting cities. At this point I would love some eye candy. Plus eye candy would bring in some new blood hopefully.

I would just enjoy a screenie of something that we could look forward to to make sure we aren't waiting for a big disappointment.

I wouldn't expect to see much difference. Probably more sharpness and definition, but it's not like it's a whole new graphics engine or anything.

According to Turbine's last announcement - they are rapidly approaching Code and Contect Complete - CCC. When this occurs Turbine will be able to build the first complete server and client load. Always a big cheer in a software house when CCC occurs. Another cheer when the first integration load builds. Yet another cheer when the client and server actually start communicating and working together.

Once they get a load working then they can get some screenshots and everyone can see what the new content is going to look like.

Yah Yula good post too. I bet alot of people are barely, if at all, aware of the processes behind making mmog's work. I know Im completely ignorant and it was nice to read a post and get a little more insight to how far along they might be. Thanks Yula.
