I call it the "Sea Palace" becuase that's the only title it has listed anywhere...

It's at 76.5n 55.0e

About 5 of those Empyrean statue heads dot out from the shore leading to a small patch of green land up about a click or two into the water... about a click or so east on the shore is another empyrean head facing directly away from the small green island.

Was this ever the site of something? Or any lore about it anywhere?

I don't recall ever seeing it before in all my explorations...

That was the original site of Gaerlan's Citadel.

During one of Elysa and Asheron's meetings at the Festival Stones, it suddenly appeared, and after Gaerlan revealed himself, it started moving inland, eventually landing (read: crashing) in its current location.

It was really very cool... the enormous citadel rose from the ocean and had water streaming out of it in waterfalls... Eventually it floated all the way up into the sky, then began moving off in the direction of glendon wood. It was over the mountains when Martine brought it down, and crashed not far away creating the massive crater it's sitting in now ^_^

What exactly did Martine bring it down with?

Well, some sort of virindi portal space disturbance... I'm not sure actually. In the teaser video he raised his arms and they shot out lightning while a huge glowing column of light shone up from him, and big explosions fired out surrounding the tower (Like ring spells, but bigger). I'm not sure if it was ever described in text, but it looked very impressive in the video ^_~

Actually, thinking about it, we do know the name! Because of a bug the emotes that asheron and martine used were available to us for that month (We couldn't actually use the emote but if you typed it in then the text acted like you'd done the emote). If I remember correctly, the name of Martine's ultimate attack was...
