Anyone remember that guy? I suppose you wouldn't if you didn't do the Spear of the Given Heart quest. Good quest but the rewards kinda limit its appeal to level 20 spear users only. Anyway for those of you unfamiliar with it Tamian Wilmot is in love with Astara Duskshield and tries to impress her by fighting a stronger guy. He gets beat down and apparently feels the need to redeem himself. He can't do it by fighting so he does what he interested in and goes looking to understand Empyrean architecture and art. He finds a dungeon and a neat looking tower complex but refuses to quit until he understands how to build like the Empyreans.
"Astara, I will extend, nay, continue my journey to seek the building craft of the Empyrean. I will go off to the wilds. I am stronger now. Someday I will be back. I will come for you, my love."
That quest was added back in February 2003 and Tamian has yet to return. I wonder if we'll ever hear from him again? AC does have a way with bringing back seemingly small characters in big roles (think Martine). However seeing the amount of time that's passed most likely they were just leaving a door open for new content at some point in the future instead of having something already written out. Still it'll be interesting to see what knowledge Tamian brings back with him if he did learn the ways of the Empyrean builders or if he even returns at all.
