Ok I am comming back to game from a 2 month absence due to moving and lack there of internet....anyways I had to do the Turbine Billing Migration crap (which I think is lame because it's a hassal) so anyways the point is now I cannot log into Ash.
Everything is working fine as far as I can tell but when I click play and it brings up the connected! screen the update bar does not move then after a lil wait it disconnects me and says Server connection lost...
Anyways any help in this matter would be appreciated.
ps
I have already went through the Turbine connectivity problems troubleshooter and it didn't do me any good.

Yes I have but the only problem is that im using a 4 port hub and cannot find the place i need to open additional ports...if there even is that option? I dont have a college degree in this sort of area lol so im kind of stumped.
I am using...
2.0 mps DSL from Century Tell
4 port NETGEAR Ethernet Hub model EN104
There is one other computer on my network that is having the same problems as well i forgot to mention that. Any more help/ideas etc. would be appreciated.

If your modem does not have a built in router - then your setup most likely will not work. Hubs and switches can not be used to build a home network. They can be used to extend router ports as long as the router has a built in DHCP server to assign private IP addresses to each of your PCs.
Certainly if you have a router and the skill you can build a home network by manually assigning addresses to the PCs and setting up the routes in the routers - but that is painful - error prone and requires sufficent skill level.
If you truly only have a plain vanilla modem with no routing capability and a hub then you are probably only going to be able to connect to the internet with one PC. That PC being the one that gets the ISP provided public IP address either because you manually configured the PC or it received the IP address from the ISP's DHCP server.
Now there are some ISPs which support multiple PCs in this kind of configration. For example. my daughter's school provides one ethernet port in her dorm room and will allows a maximum of two PCs to receive IP addresses. It is possible your ISP allows this or never got around to restricting it.
I suggest you start with only one PC and directly connect that PC to your modem (i.e. disconnect the hub and all other network devices) until you get this configuration to work.
Good Luck,

Routers have ports to open... hubs don't
If you have a software firewall (or windows xp SP2 security) then that could be blocking the port.... besides that... I dunno

Ok yah i figured i would have problems with the damn hub so i went out and bought a Linksys model befsr41 Cable Broadband/DSL Router. Now the problem is I cannot even get online and have no clue of how to fix it using the router...
How I am posting this right now is that i hooked up the hub so i can get online and get advise then its back to the router...
Anybody have this router...
Anybody have the know-how to teach and/or tell me how to configure it for what I need? That would be of great help.
Oh yah...I managed to get one computer to run Ash but alass the other one on my network cannot....My ISP said the only thing they can think of is by getting a Static IP Add. Which will be roughly 20 more bucks a month for that....which im not gonna pay.
So i guess my other question is will this new router I got fix the problem and could I have any help setting it up?
*Edit*
I know how to get to the place i need to be online to configure the router. That is not the issue.
Thanks everybody.

I have a Netgear router. When I first got it about 4 years ago, it wouldn't let me play AC. I went to the Netgear site and found out how to properly install the router and set up the settings. The router has been running great ever since with no further adjustments. I run from 2 to 4 puters on it (it has 4 ports) just by plugging them in or unplugging them.
The computers function as a network with no file sharing on the router. If you want to share a printer or files, then you have to use windows to set up the printer/file sharing.
