I recently migrated my account to turbine billing. After I did this, I had to reformat my hard drive. Upon reinstalling AC and downloading the launcher, it says I have no active subscription, which is completely bogus. I cannot reactivate my subscription because it asks for my cdkey, and I have long since lost it due to several moves and so forth. Is there a way around this, I still have my original ACDM CD but the key is lost, furthermore, I paid for my account and I refuse to pay for it twice or pay to get a key. Any help would be apprecated.

Asheron`s Call Dark Majesty Subscriptions

[EDITED]: You have a subscription to Asheron`s Call Dark Majesty.

Next Renewal Date: 1/19/2005 10:33:32 PM

Last I checked today is the 16th, so what is going on with this, and how do I fix it?

:) Hello......I don't know a lot about this but is the CD Key the same as the Product number? If so, on the AC console are a bunch of numbers that is referred to as the "Product number". If that's not it, then there is a possibility that some where in the AC file there might be some sort of text file that has the number you are looking for. A lot of programs will have some sort of file on the pc that contains the info you need.....not sure if AC is one of them but hope this helps.........

No dice, the numbers are not the same and there is no cdkey in any of the asheron's call directories. I got AC to work for now through the zone, but my subscription ends there in 3 days, after that I will be unable to access my account.

Well this is nice, now the zone remembered that I already migrated my account over to turbine billing, so I can't use the old AC to log in anymore, which means that I am totally cut off from my account. Could someone at Turbine please respond to this? Turbine customer service doesn't work weekends (real nice guys btw, it is great to encounter this problem and get ZERO support, makes handling it soo much less frustrating), so could Frelorn or another Turbine representative either reply here or contact me via PM so that I can resolve this issue?

Is there anyone, Turbine or not, that has any possible fixes for this?

:) Hello again........hmmmmmmmm There isn't any chance you wrote the CD Key down some place, like in the AC booklet that came with the CD?

And I take it that you have called Turbine billing rather than just waiting for answers on this board?

After you reformated your hard drive and reinstalled AC and downloaded and installed the new launcher, you signed in to your account using the "Already have an account" and not the "Create a New Account"? I mean can you access your account at Turbine, not the game itself, but the Turbine website?

My hubby and son have AC installed on my pc but after they made the migration on their pcs, I installed the new launcher and was able to to log in to AC using both of their accounts with my pc. I did have a problem at first because on the initial log in, when the patch gets downloaded, my pc put the patch in the wrong folder. You're not using Win98 are you? On my pc, the 2 patches (glsclient.dll and selfpatch.dll) both were installed in the "Patches" folder of AC instead of directly in to the "AC program folder". I kept getting this error message but then found the necessary patches were in the wrong folder......I compared dates of the ones in the Patches folder and the AC folder.

By rights, you should be able to sign in on any pc that has AC and the new launcher installed on it.

Out of curiosity, how did you manage to reinstall AC if you didn't have a CD key? I thought you had to have one to even install the game?

Actually, lol, I found the jewel case, but it does not have a key on it that is as long as the one they want you to enter. There are two stickers on the back of it, the "Subscription Coupon Number," which is 5 digits too short, and the "CD SET," which is only 9 digits long. A CD Key resembling the length of the one they want you to enter is nowhere to be found.

Yes of course, I actually PM'd Frelorn as well and got a possible fix from him that didn't work.

Yes, my account functions properly, in fact it has an AC2 subscription active on it currently. For ACDM, it says I need to subscribe (bogus BTW, there are three days left before my billing cycle is up), and when I do, it asks for the CD Key which of course is the one number that was never on the jewel case.

Yes, this is normal because the client doesn't care which account it acesses, nor does it require the CD Key.

You are absolutely correct. However, the problem isn't on my end, it's on their end. They lost my subscription and account info for ACDM somehow it appears.

CD Key is not required to install ACDM, it would have been required to originally set up your account with the Zone... maybe, I can't remember that was many years ago. At any rate, anyone know where the CD Key was originally located, it apparantly was not stuck on the back of the jewel case along with the other two numbers.

:) I didn't realilze that you have both ACDM and AC2; and you migrated both ACDM and AC2 seperately? Migrating one does not automatically migrate the other. You will have 2 accounts at Turbine..........one for ACDM and one for AC2. I thought that I read on the board that they will not be in the same account.

I'll research some more about the CD key location. I noticed that the CD Set number on our case is the same number that is on the CD itself...right near the center of the CD.

Edit: :o I was wrong, you can have ACDM and AC2 in the same account....you just can have more than one of each game in a Turbine account..like my son has 2 ACDM accounts and have them seperate. Anyway, I did find this billing "Ask a question" page:

Still looking for the CD Key location..............

That subscription information looks like the Zone subscription report. But you said you already migrated. Have you tried logging in through the Turbine launcher? Once you migrate (or within a few minutes) you can't use the zone to log in anymore.

I have exactly the same problem starting today.

I successfully migrated to the new turbine billing system/launcher about 2 weeks ago.

I played off and on for a few weeks.

Then today, I woke up can't login.

Getting same message that I don't have a subscription.

Logged into Turbine billing, and realized (thru conversations with my brother) that his account info on their site has a difference, his shows an Active subscription for ACDM.

Mine shows only that I make "click here to activate" a subscription for ACDM or AC2.

When I try to activate ACDM it wants a CD-Key. I too have the original CD and the CD only has a "Subscription coupon" which is not a Key. It does not work and appears not to have enough characters to fit in the CD-Key fields.

I can't login. I can't play. I will call Turbine Billing tomorrow after work.

I'm terribly worried, I might loose my Villa. I logged with my Brother's account and see that the rent is still paid on my Villa, /e crosses fingers.

I am really praying that Turbine hasn't lost the ability to associate MY characters and MY account to this new Turbine account I created during migration.

So anyway, this is an issue, its not related to the launcher, something has gone awry in Turbine's billing system.

Found this interesting note (see last paragraph)....perhaps we're not an isolated problem, and there is hope!
