Did it say fizzle before? I saw it in the title this time first thing and didn't notice it before =/
And I agree as well =)
What purpose does it serve? It's so freaking irritating when you fizzle because you LAG. I hate it when I don't press ANY movement keys and I fizzle a spell twice from movement after I stop running.
Besides, why are we made to fizzle from moving out of an area we cannot see?

heh... I'm guessing there..all my keys are re-configured.
Essentially,
Cast, strafe left, run forward, strafe right, Cast, strafe left, run forward, strafe right. Heh.
You get the idea....

well most fastcasts are a little more complicated than that. theres of course the U strafe fastcasts and the J strafe and the 1 shaped cast then try to throw fast strafeing in, and you get an even bigger mess, because fast strafeing while casting and moving in a certain direction while changing the direction your facing takes some serious action on the arrows/strafe buttons.
Removing movement disrupt would just make these casts more interesting...you could do wide O casts arround people, and also do some limited jump casting arround corners if you didnt mind stam loss. also it would make mages decent finishing chars on 20 second + runs, effectively removing the most boring part of any fights..the runs.

Eeew the runs...the runs are not a fun thing.
More freedom of movement for everyone is a good thing. I'll bet that is the #1 thing people would want in PvP if they could have it.
It would also deal with a lot of issues with "exploits" and stuff at the same time if everyone could move the same ways doing whatever.

I love this idea! But then I am a mage, so of course I am against fizzling. :P
And don't even get me started on lag...I once got up, got a cup of coffee, came back, sat down and casted, and still got a disrupt, after not having moved in like three minutes!!!

I'm sorry, when I first read this thread pre-edits I thought you were joking.
While some ability to move while casting is definitely a good thing -- and we recently increased the distance you can move and successfully cast -- allowing indefinite movement would be unbalancing in our opinion.

Couldn't it not move fizzle and just cancel your spell, stopping it RIGHT then and there when you cross the radius while casting so that you can immediately cast again?
Nothing cancels out in this game. Things just screw up. For example, if I try and stop my melee from chargining in, it will not just cancel the attack. Sometimes you have to mash on buttons to keep it from slamming back into a wall or a war or whatever and then you just get locked up.

if they made it so spells were just canceled as soon as you went out of casting radius mages couldn't move outside of the casting radius and then back in again.

No, I mean instead of when you would normally fizzle from movement, instead it would just cut off and you could immediately cast again instead of getting messed up by the fizzle junk thrown on you when you lag.

Why did you guys add movement radius then? Now you want to take that away, doesnt that just defeat the purpose of adding it in the 1st place LOL.
