Cant pay to play because your system needs Credit Card CVV number. Paypal Virtual Credit Cards do not have CVV number. And before you ask, i already checked Paypal customer service and they said NOOOOPE, their virtual cards do not have a CVV attached.

4 accounts just went BOOM. Thanks.

Guess ill be seeing yall when you get caught up on todays technology.

Is it possible to have this in BETA mode before even migrating people? Or giving us the option? I refused to migrate because I KNEW, hands down, that the issues would screw me and had already screwed 100's of people over. You're EXCELLENT making the game and maintaining it, but why on EARTH would you risk losing SO many customers?

You lost 4 accounts with ME also. 5 1/2 years of playing because we could use PAYPAL with the zone billing. Now you apparently find it unacceptable?

I'd REALLY like to know why.

So get a Paypal debit card. They have CVVs. I use mine for both of my AC accounts, and migrated without any problems.

Turbine requires a Credit Card which has a CVV code for security purposes. We do not accept virtual credit cards without CVV codes. In order to migrate your account or create a new account with Turbine you will need to have a valid credit card with a CVV code.

Ok, 4 acounts lost, loss of 4 expansion box purchases for you. One of the reasons we kept playing AC was because of the ability to use the paypal virtual card with the zone. And suprising as it seems, this paypal virtual card is the only credit/debit payment method we have had NO Security issues with.

Now all of a sudden, we cant play on 4 accounts for the last 12 days of the current subscription (WHICH, btw, means we got ripped off almost $28.00), and we cant migrate because we dont own a card that has a CVV number.

P.S. I hope you plan on refunding me my $28.00. Or, stupid as it may seem, I will be forced to file a small-claims lawsuit and demand a refund directly from Turbine.

Either decide Paypal is acceptable and get off your behinds and INTEGRATE Paypal onto your website, or invest in Prepaid Pay-to-Play cards. Either one may take a little bit of extra effort. I wonder if you're able to do either.

Note: 4 accounts, all renewed on the 27th of January. Approximately $7.00 EACH. Almost $28.00 total. Also note: I edited that post to say $28.00.

Also, it's perfectly legal to do so and it's not going to cost me a penny of time or money to do it, should it come to that. I'm not the only customer that suddenly lost their "renewable" merchandise, that was and IS paid for already, because of billing changes outside of my control.

If I went to Walmart and bought a computer for $400.00, and after a month I had to give it back to Walmart WITHOUT refund, WITHOUT an even exchange of merchandise, and without any warning that they would seize my computer, there would be a definite lawsuit.

In this case, it's $28.00 of my money on merchandise I just lost.

Folks with PayPal can get a Paypal debit card that acts like a MasterCard. It even has those three digits on the back. Simply request one on their site and you can then pay via Paypal.

OK we went ahead and tried to apply for an actual credit card from Paypal. Here's the problem now. Thanks to the AMAZING patriot act of the United States, Post office boxes are not recognized as legit addresses... However, that's all we have! Therefore we don't qualify for ANY credit cards. They reject PO Boxes point blank.

I'm going to have to invest in a prepaid bank card and pray it has a CVV code. The one we invested in last time was a Mastercard/prepaid bank card and did not come supplied with one. :(

P.S. Liquid yes that's $7.00 for the remaining amount of time I have left until our accounts all actually expire. $7.00 for the last two weeks of time x 4 accounts = $28.00. I certainly hope they refund us our money, but I don't see how they could, as I can't send them my info without a credit card CVV code

Wasn't that charged by the Zone? If so then be sure to sue Microsoft and not Turbine.

Charged by zone but STOPPED by turbine. Anming I remember my second year I had to send money via cashiers check to an allegiance friend/patron to activate my account not having a CC anymore and it worked great. Im pretty sure you and Conc could find a million people out there including me who would be willing to help. :D

Charged by zone but STOPPED by turbine.

Then you'll need to talk to the company that charged you for a possible refund.

Unfortunately it is not Microsoft that discontinued offering our merchandise to us for the same form of currency we once paid. It is Turbine that took our merchandise and told us (in not such colorful adjectives) that our money's just not green enough. I've already consulted a lawyer about my rights in this case, just to be sure I know what I'm talking about.

As Turbine owns the rights to this merchandise, and they are the ones that are technically seizing what I paid for already, they owe me the money I've paid during the last 5 1/2 years. Of course they still keep the accounts etc. But I get the money back that I invested into them.

NOTE: I'm not going to file a lawsuit. I consulted a lawyer to back myself up, as well as to get the RIGHT information before pursuing any type of action. I didn't want to harrass Microsoft and be in the wrong, nor do I want to file suit, or seek out some type of refund from Turbine, and find I'm barking up the wrong tree.

Liquid, I just MAY take you up on that!

Turbine is aware of the issues surrounding customers with PayPal as a payment method, and hope to allow alternate forms of payment at some point in the future. We certainly do not want to turn away players – especially loyal players who have been playing for a number of years.

We recommend that you contact our billing services department to see if they can help. There are occasionally ways for the billing reps to handle things on the backend to get you up and running. Our billing department is open M-F 12:30 EST to 8:30 EST. The phone number is 781-407-4020.

But I get the money back that I invested into them
Invested? MMMM. Can't recall buying any Turbine securities. I do recall paying for access to and continued enjoyment of Asheron's Call each month though.

Cheers
