Same problem here. I was booted out (connection to server lost) about 15 minutes ago and I can't log in again. I too have tried a number of worlds, just in case.
------------
Managed to login in Solclaim, ran about for a bit and then lost connection to server.

Me three. Even with no decal.
EDITED FOR MORE INFO TO GIVE:
I'm trying to log into Leafcull, just in case it's server specific...and looks like the client is having problems retrieving character information.
Gets into portal space, until the conneciton drops

I was on Verdantine, red linked and dumped to desktop, reconnected, almost immediately red linked and dropped to desktop again, and now can not connect to any world servers.

I was having the exact same problem earlier, now I can log in but I get yellow link constantly and eventually red link and booted.
I also have an ig friend that is having this problem not sure he posted, the even tried reinstalling didn't work.

Exactly same thing happening to Vlad and me. This is frustrating!!!

after repeatedly trying to log in to any server I finally connected to harvestgain of all places but nearly 100% packet loss and up to 10k ping, move for 10 seconds lag for 30 seconds move for 10 seconds lag for 30 seconds, this is heinous.

That is exactly what's happening to us, have you all downloaded the new treestats?
Larhanya
04-01-2005, 06:16 PM
Nope. I use no plugins or third-party whatsoever. At this point I can login but I get the play for 10 sec, lag for 30 problem, so it's just not worth it. :(

OK so now we are going onto 3+ hours that this has been happening to a number of players and 3+ hours that this post has been here, I have seen tech support as well as IBN post on other threads in that time but no word on this issue. Can we at least get a 'We are aware of this issue and looking into it ' post or something, because as it stands right now it sure seems as though no one apart from those affected cares in any way.

It's not Treestats, because I've got it and I'm able to get in without trouble.
You're absolutely sure that it's not Internet lag between your ISP and Turbine's datacenter? Because that's what it sounds like.

How would i know if there is a problem between my ISP and Turbine? I called my internet provider, and they assured me there were no issues whatsoever on their end. Also I'm in Canada and i'm not certain where others are that are experiencing the issue. Grandpa did post on my original thread "Now What" and advised to call Turbine, but after 30 minutes on hold i gave up.

Another Canadian here. Coincidence?

I too am Canadian, in Toronto, internet running on Rogers Cable.

I managed to get in and run around for about 5 minutes with normal connection, then bang 100% packet loss to red link and booted. I have tried enabling and disabling my firewall, shutting off decal, shutting off Norton etc...always with the same results. Bah!

Ontario, also, but running on Persona Cable.

Well I'm in Edmonton, AB running off Telus DSL, and I'm able to log in now, but the connection seems shaky (lots of yellow/red links)
Lokania
04-01-2005, 07:31 PM
Well, AB is almost the entire continent away from ON; but so far it looks like most of us posting with the problem are Canadians. Either that is part of the problem or we are just being more vocal about it :)
Oh, a belated thanks to Shauna and Larhanya for helping Vlad and me rule out Treestats.

Why do I have the feeling that its a routing problem between Turbine's servers and the Eastern Canadaian lines down to the US....
We need answers! We have things much worse than Celine Dion that we can use in retaliation!

I'm from BC and i get the same thing an endless ride through portel space until i get booted back to desktop for high latency.
Is this issue still occurring? I've dropped an email to one of our customer service managers looking for more information.

No this was Friday night, and i gave up after a few hours. It may be occuring for some but i'm fine today. Worst lag ever 16k ping!

It's still occuring for me. Me and my neighbour tryed everything updating my network card, bypassing the router all together, even deleting all the spyware. Until we ran out of ideas, it seems there is a connection problem at your end, and it's affecting certain clients. Please look into this and fix it quick, it would be very much appreciated :) .
Thank you

I'm having this issue tonight. I have 2 pcs behind a firewall rter. One can log in & one can't. both are set up the same for ports & such. I'll wait a day or so before I spend another flipping 4 hrs messing with this stuff. I'll go play Wow.

I could play fine this morning. Now the ping time and packet loss are just too much to try and play. Yesterday I couldn't sign in. I am not foolingg with anything more on my computer because its not on my end. WoW has servers on both coasts and I made players on both coasts and mountain servers before they made it so you couldn't tell where they were located. I can log on to any of them right now and get a steady ping of 100 ms or less. Normally on friday night on TD our monarchy is chattering like crazy. But its dead silent tonight cause everyone has problems getting on or playing.

Predator,
Most likely your firewall software is blocking AC from access to the internet. Take a look at this FAQ:
http://www.fuzeqna.com/asheronscall/consumer/kbdetail.asp?kbid=146&action=search&keyword=&match=and&catID1=3&catID2=&sortmethod=views+desc,+datemodified&submitbutton=Get+Answers
You could be in any or all of these places:
Inside your modem
Inside your router
Part of your operating system (e.g. XP)
An application on your PC
Your virus software could also be blocking internet access for AC.
Good luck,
Yula the Mighty - HG
