Possible Dt return player, help please?

i played Ac/Dt for about 3 years, then once duping, MAcro'ing, and extreme amounts of HP got involved i felt the games once Competitive and Skillbased, PVP system kind of went down. After a few short lived returns w/ some of my friends i stopped playing. Recently i thought about getting back into it, then my excitement heightened when i heard about hte new Expansion, but i just have a few questions if anyone can help me out, i recognize alot of your names from your posts from when i use to play =D.
1) how many poeple still actually play?
2) is it worth playing now??? still fun ??
3) Will it be worth playing Once expansion is out?
4) what all is new in the Expansion, Any chance of a new pk server or Anything to cater to pker's,
5) any information you'd think that i'd possibly find important

it's only become worse - people who buy ebay characters no longer suck, they can rely on tanking 3 wars & then claim skill...

The problems you described have only become worse, as EtG noted.

Everything we have heard about in the expansion so far that relates to PvP is BAD for it.

Is it still fun? Only you can decide.

But do poeple still play? I log onto Zone and it says 8 poeple are on DArktide? is that Number correct? ?? is it completly deserted ?? ??

I play from Australia, my best times to play are the lowest numbers usually, 250-300 people, peak I think hits 700ish now... thats going off memory.

Gotta understand a lot are macroers / bots.

There was only 8 people because it isnt launched from the zone anymore. Turbine does it all now and they have their own launching program.

1) where do i go to get the Turbine Launcher, Sorry if that sounds newb im sure it does, its been awile
2) my buddies account was banned he was lvl 114, He is curious, Is it possible to start over and relatively "catch up" ? How is leveling these days Faster/Slower ? THanks

Catch up. Well there aren't many people in your way at low levels. You can use the lever dungeons to get to 110 possibly naked.

Catching up to the level 200s? Unless you are a hardcore macroer, no, maybe in the xpack.
