Dear Turbine,

Many people seem to be frustrated and angry at the limited availability of the ToD Pre-order boxes. Both in terms of the number published and the problems being encountered regarding worldwide distribution.

In my view these concerns relate solely to the special 'buff gems'.

I propose that these gems be given to every ToD account registered by lets say 15th June - or a date of your choosing.

After that they can be simply withdrawn from being included in new accounts via coding in a patch.

This has very little impact in my opinion in either your revenue stream, (there is no retail additional cost to pre-orders), or coding.

Those that have successfully ordered the pre-order box will have the goodies associated such as the dvd and map etc. But more importantly those that purchase ToD within lets say a month will not be penalised by not getting the gems.

I think this solution would satisfy all concerned, from Turbines perspective it rewards those loyal people and new players for purchasing ToD, from the players perspective it ensures fair treatment.

I urge everyone who is reading this thread to post your support if you agree with this idea.

Regards
Kamsky

Agreed (and I have the expansion pack on pre-order).

It is going to be sad to find out that the expansion would have been a major hit, except for the flubbed distribution.

Is the whole AC franchise just cursed or something?

Fair and well thought out.

As an aside ... maybe make the Map and DVD available online via the Turbine store for a nominal fee for those that wanted them but could not get them via the Pre-order.

Agreed.
The date for the registration cut off would need to be set to allow for the people who are currently being ignored by Turbine to have a fair amount of time to get their hands on a copy of the game.

Agreed.

I have said this same thing already. There should be no penalty for those who would love to have purchased the pre-order but can not.
