I've not long ordered my copys of AC:TD from codemaster and the delivery date says 30/5/05, and thats to be delivered the day after realse? dose that mean that the US is gonna get it 19 days before us or is this an error from codemaster?
If they are gonna get it 19 days before us why?

Don't many games have release date later for areas outside the country of origin ... because of tariffs?

I got a shipping date of 30/5/05 so e-mailed codies for confirmation and got this back:
Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Customer Services concerning Asheron's Call: Throne of Destiny.
Our date is correct, unfortunately there is a delay in the UK release over the US version.
Anyone (unlikely) form Turbine care to comment?

Stop complaining, at least we can buy it and we don't have to order it from an USA website as most did for ACDM.
And i prefer to wait 2 weeks because if there are lot's of bugs, lot's will be resolved in two weeks :)

Tariffs have nothing to do with it as they are being produced by Codemasters rather that imported from the US.
Extremely pissed off if it is the 30/05/05 as that is close to three weeks late and my guild are very active questors. I'm also in the race for 275 and frankly I rather suspect that much of that will be over in three weeks time as there are already players in the pseudo 246-255 range.

Koss, I understand your position ... I just always had shipping delays when I order stuff from England (Buffy or Angel RPG stuff back in the day). I can't remember for 100% but it was due to the books had to be "approved/censored and appropriate tariff levied"
I read that Codemasters developes games and such but according this statement it seems Turbine is still producing the game you're getting so it will have to be boxed and then shipped overseas:
Codemasters will bring both Asheron's Call: Throne of Destiny and Asheron's Call 2: Legions to European gamers in May. Produced by Turbine the titles carry a RRP of £19.99 each and include the original game, the expansion, and one month's free subscription.
I started reading up on Codemasters when Turbine announced them as partners so I believe they can produce it ... is there a reason they're not?(Question for Codemasters)

He he, feeling quite relieved as it looks like the 30/05 was an error. :D

Who know what is going to happen. Ebgames just announced a slip date to May 23, 2005 for USA customers.
