I've been playing Asheron's Call since 1999... Bought AC (orig.) when it hit shelves, then bought Asheron's Call Dark Majesty as soon as it hit shelves. Now after migration, it was working fine for about 2-3 months. Suddenly it de-activated my subscription, and is now asking for a Product Key in order to re-activate my account? What the **** is a Product Key? I have all my original boxes, CD's, and CD keys. There is no Product Key on any of them.


Do I need to purchase a Product Key? If so, why? Why am I paying for a product key when I bought the original CD sets... Why am I being asked to pay for something completely new??

Your account has been disabled. The request for a product key is an inccorrect message. You are going to have to contact Turbine billing support when they come in on Monday afternoon.

It is kind of late - if you need more information and no one has provided it. I will give you a longer post later after I've had some sleep.

I had a similiar problem.

I tried the product key on the back of one of my old AC: TD packages but it was not long enough, it seems they need to be 25 characters now.

I got one from a friend and used it....now all my characters are gone. I think he purchased a new key for his account (I guess he wanted to play badly) and now my account is gone.

I assume it is some kind of bug and will be calling them on Monday.

If this is not a bug, then this is the worse case of migration or change I have ever seen. I am hoping my account is not lost.

I have bout several copies of the game, 4 original and 4 of the first expansion pack.

Same issue here and the best part is the cc that i was using doesnt expire till next year !

black panther x (and others) I did the excat same thing : Thought I had to buy a new subscription to get my account back up and running. After entering the new product keys, it seemed like the toons on my account were gone..

Phone Turbine billing and ask them to cancell you're buying of a new product key, and ask them to reactivate you're account back to it's prior state.

Once Turbine have fixed the billing, all you're toons are back.

When Turbine fix their billing systems so you can resubscribe ONLINE (eg. after entering new CC-data), I MIGHT be back.

Been gone for almost 6 months now. Since I have 4 accounts I "saved" 24 months of billing. Turbine lost the same amount of my money ...

The new billing system is the biggest misstake Turbine ever did. Not only has alot of players stopped playing because they cannot rescubribe online (also big mess with non-US credit cards), but also many (like me) has lost their fate in Turbine as a serious game vendor.
