Sorry if this has been asked before...

Will ALL (or just about all) of the new content be only on the new islands, or will there be new content added to the current landmass as part of ToD. I know if there were, that non-ToD accounts could not access it, but thats not my question.

Just wondering whether we're going to see every active player (who purchased ToD) packed onto the new islands for the first couple weeks after release, or if they will be also exploring new content on the old landmass?

New content on the old land or not, lots of people will be spending time on the new island exploring it for probably the first month.

Guys I dont mean to be critical but do you remember how quickly people figured out every single thing to do on AL. It was astonishing. There will be a bunch of people there, but I highly doubt that people will still be discovering things a month in. Granted people will lose the ability (most likely) to decode the portal.dat since the new UI is different, but I still believe that people will have things figured out on the new island in less then a week.

However I will be pleasantly suprised if I am incorrect.

Toanswer the question, i am sure all the new content will be on the new island : it's a PAID extension so it's normal al the new stuff go in the new island.

I can probably be safe to assume that there will be at least a tiny bit of new content on main landmass

If there wasn't, that would suck
ah well, tis what updates are for.

actually eat, there was a bug with rubble that prevented everything from being figured out that fast. Some devs had even commented a while after that not everything had been discovered, which prompted a number of players to go and figure it all out.

Good attempt at a "sky is falling" reply though.

Regarding the original post, if the expansion brings new high level hunting (which it will), since all of that will be contained on the Northern sections of the new land mass, will that cause some overcrowding? I think the answer is 'yes'. It will probably be similar to when VoD opened and when Caul opened. Well after new quests are solved there will still be a ton of people there.

I haven't gone and searched thru all the posts on the subject, but I had the impression that there would be some new content on the mainland. The trailer that comes with the preorder box suggests that the Viamontians have been trapped on their islands for a long time, and finally have found a way off. To me that implies that they will be invading mainland Dereth in some way, as well as being accessed by us.

I'd guess that a good deal of new content will be "located" in dungeons. No doubt many of them will be entered thru portals located on the islands, but there's no reason that some of them can't be on the mainland. Restricting access to ToD owners is just as easy in either location.

I also expect that at least some of the new creatures will be wandering around the mainland. My impression from info releases is that there will be a broad spectrum of new content available to everyone, just with some major percentage (including access to the new islands) restricted to ToD purchasers.

Just for the sake of general game enjoyment, I hope that ALL the new stuff isn't found solely on the new Islands.
