I have to admit that I'm a bit excited as well.

Just some advice for everyone. Keep your expectations very low. Do not assume we're getting anything that has not been expressly called out. Something a friend mentioned doesn't count. Extrapolating and reading into released pictures or comments does not count.

Assume the bare minimum and then hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised and you won't be one of the people with knee jerk reaction threads saying things suck.

The preview client can be downloaded on June 22 , but what time? Or is that a secret?

No secret that I know of.

IHMO - It is going to depend on when Fileplanet gets a round Tuit.

If Turbine has any sense, they will have arranged with Fileplanet to go live with the preview about noon eastern time so that netops and development are at work. Customer service will be coming in about this time too.

It would nice to hear what the 'plan' is --> so we can all have a good laugh when something goes wrong. It would be nice to know --> do not bother before ...

Yula, that logic is horribly flawed. If you're gonna comment about a statement of mine, please at least think a bit more. You're not as dumb as that statement is.

It's not a hard question.

What's exciting about ToD?

Same old AC, slightly better graphics, a GUI from another game they put money into, and game systems designed for macro'ers. Their advertising put emphasis on XP-centric aspects of ToD (Augmentation Gems, High Level Areas, Skill Credits, Highest XP producing areas). Turbine is emphasizing the XP part of Asheron's Call.

Remember a long time ago, there was a long thread titled something like, "ToD: Is it about the Experience, or the XP"

Folks, it's about the XP, which generates Turbine money.

That doesn't get me excited because making XP doesn't get me excited.

So, what aspects of ToD make it all worth while?

Graphics don't matter to me, so...

The Quests and being able to choose sides!? Does choosing sides really matter? That's about all I can figure that would get me excited for ToD.

I would also like to know the exact time. I would like to be able to start the download before i goto work so that it can be done and ready when i get home. I have a feeling it is going to be a pretty big download so i dont want to have to wait an hour to download it when i dont have that long to play at night as it is.

Unless you are a paying member at fileplanet you have to wait anyway. Persons who subscribe for free use the fileplanet public servers and I have never seen a wait of less than 45 minutes just to start the download. With a beta being downloaded it may be a long wait.
