Please use this thread to give us your feedback on the new level cap. How does it feel to look at your character and see a level above 126?

Level Cap? Not a big thing, you always gotta love the idea that you can be more powerful than you already are (with the skill credits). Maybe good, don't see where it could actually be bad as long as you give the higher ups something to do.

The new level cap and extra skill credits are great...
BUT
They are near useless IMO without a removal of the limit for the maximum credits you can spec. I really can't understand why you don't get rid of the limit of 64, especially given that the last few points of skill before max cost an obscene amount of XP. But a 30 point hit for specing would actually be noticeable.
Personally, I'm not interested in taking dumb support skills with those extra credits. I have a tinker/trades mule for those. I want my main toons to be more powerful with what they already have - say specing life magic, melee defense, AND magic defense along with say sword or bow. Or being a tri-spec mage with also spec magic defense.
Discussion of Turbine's policies on third-party apps are off-topic for this thread.

Would be nice if there was a way for those of us without prior LC characters to know!
Put the level gems in marketplace for 120+ levels.
Sorry but I have done level 60 more times than I care to count. It does not make me want to explore the game, though in the current state I see no reason to buy the expansion.

I would love to answer as well, but honestly I felt quite frustrated spending the better part of 3 hours just getting setup as a mage [this includes the time spent at the spec/unspec temples] at level 60.
Now don't get me wrong, I love to reroll all the time and play with my clan mates...but... I also enjoy the solo aspect of AC very much and the idea of leveling a noob with some moderate quest gear is not a lot of fun for me personally. When I reroll I do it with a purpose or intent and get through the grinding levels as quickly as I can... while I do understand and appreciate the fact you do not want to lessen the newbie experience for all the real newbs, for those of us who have been here since the beginning it isn't what we had in mind.
On a positive note [even with the memory leaks and the game literally rebooting my system twice this morning] I personally love the ~feel~ of the game now. It's hard to describe as I know I played AC2 for 6 months and the gameplay is what turned me off and made me leave.... but with ToD it's my old AC... but it ~looks and feels~ better. It's more fluid and crisp [and it sure seems like I run a LOT faster now] and everything seems to pop more.
Bottom line is that I have never been or will be a fanboi... I just love AC because it's ~my~ type of game... currently I know there are bugs [submitted a couple already], but I'm confident that you guys will get it right... that's my cup half full side speaking again
It would have been nice if you could have just flagged current AC players in the database and allowed them to get to at least level 100... that's my personal self sufficient point... I have yet to make a toon that can't be completely self buffing and generating excellent income at that level. I know I can do it at lower levels.... but I've been doing this since May of 1999... I'm just turning into a tired old man ;)

As a Level 255, there is no incentive to get to 275 other than the accomplishment of doing it. Right after xPack I will have 30+ billion of XP in Available XP with probably another 30 billion invested needlessly in the last few points of non-important attributes and skills.
Figure another 80+ billion to get to 275 and I've got 140+ billion available to spend, but nothing to spend it on. Even if I bought every Augmentation gem you have announced (would take 3+ years because of the ridiculous 30-day timer) I will still have Available XP left.
We need better Augmentations or the ability to buy rares with XP. If there is no place to spend XP, what is the point of getting more that you cannot use.
The Level cap is worthless atm, as getting there will not improve my toon one iota.

Well, I'm not sure how it looks yet.
Where do I find bigger gems past level 100? ;)

Yeah, because they couldn't just walk up and see what you're wearing...
But back on topic, it's really too early to say what the level cap change is like. I'd really like to have a level 240 token just to see what it feels like to run around with most (if not all) of my skills maxed out. I'll leave further feedback when this happens. ;)

I guess it's good for game dynamics because it allows you to create dungeons and areas with a higher level restriction.
however, at the same time it only really benefits people who macro and or belong to a chain. first you punish people for doing it, then reward them with this.

There is no feedback thread marked as "general stuff", so make one and move this post please.
1)
I like the new radar looks, i love the smooth mob movement on it and I was wondering if you "smoothed it" or if the old radar that shows jerky movements is actually more "correct" as how it displays the mobs movements. I ask because it has to be related somehow to the difficulty to target off the radar as compared to DM.
2)
While the vitae penalty seems about correct to me, it will devestate those players that are of the solo style, in the medium levels ( 40-100 ) especially if they are melee loners ie: non-vulning axe, sword, mace, dagger, staff and archer chararcers. The penalty is devestating to work off alone at times, and while this in itself encourages more fellowship, there is actually a large group of people who for some reason actually like to play alone.
That's all i got, thanks for the fun times and the wonderful preview
