The following is from Katahdin, our Player Support Manager -- i.e., the boss of the Envoy team:

Welcome to Destiny!

Hello all-

The Envoys and myself couldn't be more excited about Destiny. It's going to be a great chance for folks to jump in and check out all the graphics enhancements that the team out in LA have worked so hard on. It's going to give you a chance to try out new content and a new player race - all while leaving your retail account untouched. Experiment away!

Destiny is a free preview I thought I'd take a couple minutes to explain to you how and what the ingame support team can and cannot do for you.

• We will always respond to calls from the non preview world’s fist. So folks who decide not to participate in the preview shouldn't see any change in how quickly their calls are answered.

• Envoys will be patrolling Destiny. That means that if you see an envoy in the game - look for the signs that he/she is on a social call (helm off) or working - (helm on). Say hello- we really are a friendly bunch.

• The CoC (http://www.fuzeqna.com/asheronscall/consumer/kbdetail.asp?kbid=305) is being fully enforced. Even if your best friend doesn't report you for dropping the Fbomb, remember we are patrolling and if we catch you - you're out. That's right -out. CoC violations of any kind may result in the immediate revocation of your access to Destiny for the entire duration of the preview. You'll be able to log in to your normal account and play your subscription but you won't be getting back into Destiny. Things that will revoke your access instantly will include-

• Character names which violate the CoC. Not sure what that means? Use the link above and review the CoC - it's pretty clear.

• Profanity and hate speech. We just aren't going to tolerate it, so don't type it. No excuses.

• Envoys will be able to help you if your character gets stuck in the landscape someplace. Just use Urgent Assistance and we'll be there as soon as we can.

• Envoys cannot help you locate your corpse. If you lose your corpse - well that's what death items are for. Contrary to popular myth - we do not have a tool to help locate corpses.

• Envoys will not give you quest advice. No hints, no rides, no tips (other than 'don't die') no spoilers will come from the ingame team. This is a preview world, we aren't going to give away anything! You can ask if you like, but be warned - your answer will look like this 'Dereth is full of wonders...go out and explore it.' If you want hints - go to the fan forums.

• Find a bug? Ibn would like them reported via FilePlanet (http://www.fileplanet.com/betas/ac_throneofdestiny.aspx). You can use ingame help if you want - but we really would prefer you follow Ibn's recommendation and report them the way he has requested.

• Got a question about Why something is the way it is? Take it to the forums. Ingame support staff are NOT the developers. We can't speak to the 'why' of something in the game world. Well we could - but the response would be 'because the dev's made it that way'. So when you are told to take your question to the forums, it's because we are routing you to the correct source of information. Ibn can get your 'why' questions answered.

That’s it! Log in, play nice and enjoy all that Throne of Destiny has to offer you!
