Registration for ToD preview timed out and now i get this. Lots of peoples having the same problem. What are you guys going to do about it ?

I entered it the first time and it says it cant do it at this time

So I do it again and it says its in use, then I try to login and I'm not subbed

Okay...since I can't dial out long distance...and I have to email them, it says it may take up to 2-3 business days....this is not fair at all.

lol yep, this is completely normal Turbine update proceedure

It's hard to imagine why they didn't just flag all active accounts for ToD Preview access. Could have left the Fileplanet thing to people who aren't current players. Of course, that makes far too much sense.

And yes, everyone I know, myself included, has hit this "invalid key" thing. It's a timeout problem on the billing site. I'm not sure why it's our business to chase that up?
(a phone call from overseas isn't exactly a reasonable option either)

Since they don't learn from their mistakes, what makes you think they will do any better come retail? Given how predictable it was, same question.

This is nothing more than the continuation of outright horrendous planning on behalf of Turbine. Just more people are seeing now.

This is all well and good Ibn, can you advise what you will be doing to minimise thiss issue on expansion release day?
I also wonder how many will now cancel their pre-order of ToD as a result of this fiasco.

Is it ok to complain now that my second key has been eaten by the system? Yes, this was after Ibn anounced the billing system was "fixed".

Are we allowed to point out any problems in the system? Or will that bother you too much?

Very little is more irritating than a tard that can get in coming back on the boards and saying "its a beta" "its a preview" "you should expect this its a beta".

When so many can't get it they should take the server down. Not just billing dervers but all and fix it. Otherwise turbine don't seem to care as some can play and most turbine praiser seem to get in then come back to the boards to tell all the pissed off players that can't get in to relax "its a preview"

to be honest im not impressed so far first time ive even played this and downloaded the preview, when i try to create an account i get the image does not match over 10 times, then it finialy works and i get the key is not valid message. GREAT.

only time ive seen worse was wow launch with subscription servers being hammered offline, and daoc when they had great idea to make people acitvate an account online first which again brought the system down.

but this is small beta phrase and shouldnt suffer this sort problem.

Don't waste your time calling billing - or e-mailing them. This is all they can tell you to do:


GO back to file planet and log out. Then create a new account and you can get a new key. It will not give more than one key to any account.

I now have several File Planet accounts - but I did finally get the game to accept one.

The prceedure was very annoying and took me most of the afternoon - but i did finally get in.

What was happening is with everyone trying to get in at once (Turbine planned it this way) the keys were getting jammed in the system and they could not be processed - but since they had been entered in the system they would not work the second try.

hi @ all...
i already have a key and get the message "The product key you entered is invalid for this product".

k , so i create a second account at fileplanet and create a new account at turbine and try to enter new key.
i create 4 accounts at turbine.
same message!
at asherons call launcher get a message when i want to log in that say´s "The Authentication attempt failed because no valid subscription for the named account was found" !


what happens with that sh** !?
i read all post in this forum about that problem and there is no way to fix that.
turbine fix that problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
