I just read a post on how players with no life magic have 0 chance in PVP combat. Back before we had the option to change skillz I had no life magic but wanted some sort of a fix. This is my solution for players with no life magic.
#1 move skill credits train/spec life

THE NEW IDEA
#2 Add orbs/wands/staffs that have vuln spells on them. Yes this will require u have arcane lore, but if u have no life magic u prob already have arcane lore to activate jewlery/shirt/pants for your prots. I am not sure on what spellcraft of an item means, but I believe it has something to do with how powerfull the spell on the item is. ( Raise spellcraft on items with higher arcane lore req. so that they are not resisted as easy by people with high magic D)

Edit- u will never vuln with a VII but its a start

This is pointless. How about these people who don't have life magic get life magic???? You guys are trying to take the easy way out and like Turbine would vulns on a staff/wand/orb.... Then no one would need life magic and anything below lvl 7 vuln sucks. That guy who made a post about that was so gimped I was about to **** my pants and laugh.

Why not use the rend weapons and wands...It is based on skill and can go as high as hitting someone with a level 6 vuln.

Mage with rend wand + melee with wards and aegis = crappy damage. Better to just get life magic.

Try using a rending melee or bow weapon on a mage with full banes and see if you hit for more than 1 point of damage.

Rend wands for mages pretty much work in PvP. Thats a gank weapon there, and its very easy to take someone by surprise by hitting them fairly hard without a debuff.

Archers and melees, forget it.

Nothing wrong with having to train every magic. HOWEVER, having to spec life and dump tons of xp into it as an extreme melee does not seem right to me. I had to spec life on my sword char and raise it to the point of costing 150 mil/pt, and that doesn't even meet 50/50 chance of landing on people with maxed out magic d and cantrips (which are extremely prevalent on DT).

If wands spawned with vulns, and there was an imbue to turn the 6 into a 7, that'd probably be a fair thing. Spellcraft would have to go up A LOT on them though. It could be raised a little in the loot system and then be a tinkerable thing I guess.

That's not really necessary, just an idea that actually makes sense.

He is proposing a way for people without magics to be able to vuln and still use weepings etc. Even if they won't be as effective. (I would think the skill you use is the spellcraft of the item, it isn't a bad idea imo, as long as they won't eb able to land on the grief players)

Its perfectly reasonable to spend 28 credits to train 3 magic schools. I think that can be expected of people.

The only issue I see is how you are basically forced to have high life magic on DT unless you are never alone.

I've been requesting this since retail. Devs have repeatedly said it will never happen. Then again, they denied wands getting stam to mana self also.
