A few years back, I purchased Asheron's Call 2: Fallen Kings. It started out ok, but there was really no guidance; no path to follow. I was just plopped in the middle of nowhere trying to find my way around. This combined with the fact that the servers were all but empty, kind of turned me off to the game, so I cancelled it. I was wondering if these issues are still there for Throne of Destiny, or if the servers are populated, and a clear path showing what you can do in the game? Thanks for any info.

Well we hope the Release of TOD will get the sever population up.
But as far as help there plenty of people on all the server who are well skilled at playing AC and are mor ethen happy to help.

Your best bet would be to swear to one of the bigger monarcys.
Just log in type /marketplace and start asking. You might have to try one or 2 monarchy before you find the one that fits you.

Or if you happen to log on Soclaim give "Shehell I" a /tell and I could point out a couple nice monarcys that take you on lots of quest and help you out.

Still there? I think there is a misconception here... Just making sure, you do know Asheron's Call: Throne of Destiny is the Original Asheron's Call, NOT Asheron's Call 2: Fallen Kings...

But if I am mistaken, and you do mean Asheron's Call 1, I can tell you Asheron's Call 1 is, in my opinion, and the opinion of many others, far, far better than Asheron's Call 2...

Its a -completely- different game, and with the exception of graphics, every aspect is better than Asheron's Call 2... In my opinion that is =)

i don't really felt that you were just dropped in middle of it without guidance in ac2. there is some introduction in ac1 also, but it isn't as extensive as in certain new games. some stuff you will prolly have to learn from patrons or websites.

Yeah, I thought it was an expansion for AC2. But aside from that, I just want to make sure there is a good population on the servers before picking up the game. It would be kind of nice not to feel like the only one playing :)

Well I'ts a lot more populated than AC2 ever was-ever will be (AC2 was just a bad idea)..There is suppose to be a new server world launching any day now (Dawnsong) Last year when they launched a new server there were hundreds of people bout everywhere you went........Portal storm city (God how I miss those days) the shear chaos of it all was the funniest thing I'd ever seen in a video game.. (didnt stop laughing for a month....lost 10 pounds) :D Its most definatly worth 29.99 (thought for sure it would be 49.99..oh well their loss)..Hope to see you IG!!!
