I'm able to connect to my world via aclauncher, I get past the dual blue bar screen. I get to the char selection list ok.
I log into world ( even connection to alleg chat and xmitting there ). My inven does load, but my char stay purplish bubbly. I cannot move or anything ) It also shows friends online at login, but not afterwards. (via command )
After a minute or it goes into linkdead mode ( yellow then yellow/red connection icon ) and it drops me from the server.

The strange part is : I'm have all the ports from that articel ( even the extra ones ) forwarded to my pc's LAN IP nr by my modem/router.
I've written a rule to let the firewall ignore the sockets used by AC.
Even disabling all firewalls ( soft and hard ) didnt work.
Disabling VOIP did nothing to cure the problem.

Modem : Zyxel prestige 2602-H61 v (modem/router/firewall/VOIP)
Location : The Netherlands
Provider : Tiscali
amd 2600/winxp/512mb/Nvidia GF4ti4400/latest official drivers 77.xx

The ports changed a little bit from AC: DM to the new version.

Complete list on Turbines updated connection FAQ:

You don't need to forward every port there is in the world, just the ones needed for AC: TOD. Forwarding *all * ports in existance will pretty much hose the purpose of your router.

If you have the ports listed in that FAQ forwarded, and you still get the problem, then you should call your ISP with the port list in that FAQ and make sure they are not blocking any of them at their end. That has happened here in the US to some people when an ISP blocked a port as a stopgap to prevent worms from spreading. Generally they unblock them later once the AV signatures are updated and the Internet storm dies down, but occasionally someone will forget . . . you get the idea.

Har I indeed just opened that exact list. Offcourse I re-enabled my firewall after testing.
The thing is that TOD works fine with my old modem/router : a zyxel 650r31.
But that lacks VOIP and has only 1 LAN port.

Also just got word from from the official "support" people. They basically told me bad luck : AC has problems with most ( repeat : MOST ) modem/router combo's. I'd really like to know where it states that on the box, or in the manual.

Sofar for customer "support". No word if they knew my specific combo had problems, no word on making it possibly work with some kind of settings.
Just : yer out of luck buy a seperate router and modem. If that is common reply Turbine is gonna be in trouble as the combination stuff will only become more popular.

That means I'm stuck with yanking cables from modems to play, and loosing VOIP when I play AC.
