Where can I find a list of the patch notes from the past year... they used to be on the zone, but I can't find them anywhere now?

I have heard there is a new vitae system with ToD. Can someone explain what is new about it?

AC Explorer vs. Dereth Explorer... Which map program to do think is the best maintained?

You can find a lot on the website of Maggie the Jackcat for the past events too. http://www.thejackcat.com/

The vitea-system is not much changed. Only the penalty is much higher. Where you had to make i.e. 10 exp points to get 1% off, now you have to make 100 exp. points. This number is not accurate, but will give you an idea.
And on higher lvls you will loose some more items on death.

I don't have an advize for the maps.

Support for AC Explorer has been dropped since ToD came out, although old locations still work in it. Dereth Explorer is new and in beta, and does support ToD . So it is your best bet for continued support.
