Authentication Failed

I get 'Authentication Failed, please try again later.' error message in the game launcher. I'm not even getting to the game itself.

I tried pinging by IP and name (from another authentication post) and both are Ok.

This has happened before, but seems to heal itself after a short time. Today, I haven't been able to play at all.

Nevermind... I found out that my account was suspended because my credit card had expired and I had not entered the new expiration date.

It would have been nice to get a reminder email that my card couldn't be charged so I wouldn't have tried waiting and troubleshooting for hours... or at least an error message that said what the problem actually was.

I figured 'try again later' meant to wait a while then try again.

'Hey doofus, update your account billing info' seems like a much better error message for this.
