New Aegis (Isin Dule) vs. Raven Hand and Old-School Aegis

With Isin Dule, major wards, and prots I absorb 72% of damage.
With the other two aegis, major wards, and prots, I absorb 76%.

So you lose 4% of your damage reduction and gain 190 base AL plus some 7s with the new shield.

Tests done with static damage Gaerlan wands.

It's also interesting to note that the other two shields say they're skill based. The new one doesn't say so.

I did really fast test and hit someone as low as 104 with old aegis, 160 was lowest with this new one.

Maybe our sample size was too small though.



I think the new aegis is mostly for being in a group fight and having a balanced shield instead of the extremes(no shield but absorb or high al shield). The al looks like enough to force people to using weepings or phantom while maintaining some magic reduction.

Its a death item for the majority, at 23k value.

assuming used in pvp. for pvm its probably pretty nice.

I took down High Archon Merille by myself with that shield. Those wretcheds hit hard with their spells

Will be a good shield for macroers too, especially the melees in the magic casting dungeons. GREAT JOB TURBINE!

I will enjoy using this shield while hunting on viss island.

I imagine it'll be good for gank fights, when you have a melee/archer and a mage on you.
