Also, we found some items that need allegiance to use, what is that? And how do I aquire it?

But anyway, the items that need allegiance, those are for after you have joined A Monarchy, or otherwise known as an Allegiance, Guild, Outfit, etc.

You should try to both find a server that 1. you can have fun together on, and 2. can find good people to group with.

In closing I am also resubscribing, and would be delighted to show you some of the things new players can do, of course after the servers come back up.

My main 2 characters are at least lvl 22 or 29. I play most of the time on Verdantine. I will get my char names to you asap after the servers come back up.

AC guilds are technically named Allegiances. Some players also will informally refer to them as clans or guilds.

You found items that need allegiance to use... what do you mean? Allegiance rank? If you check the FAQ here, there is a short guide to allegiance and ranks. Short version, how many characters you have under you in a hierarchy determines your rank. That's not exactly it, but sort of - like I say, you'll probably want to check the FAQ.

The main difference between AC and other MMOs, regarding guilds, is that in AC there is a set hierarchy with a monarch at top, and everyone else under that character. Everyone's connected, through their patron, to the monarch, eventually. When you join an allegiance, you swear to a Patron. Vassals are those sworn under you. You may have co-vassals, other people sworn under your same patron. If your vassals are of a lower level than you are, as their patron, then they will pass a % of the XP they earn while hunting to you, based on time sworn to you, their loyalty skill and your leadership skill.

Otherwise, it's pretty much the same as other games' guild systems. Anyway, that's the short version! Note also that you do not have to join a monarchy to have fun in the game =)

You will probably want to check the links mentioned in the other poster's responses and also chat in your worlds general chat (use /cg "your text here" - minus the "") to get help, ask questions and find a patron/monarchy if you wish.

The allegiance rank requirement is a thing that kind of pushes people to have followers, there is a pyramid set up to rank and the more followers your followers have the higher your rank.

As for help, I play on Thistledown as Fury's apprentice if you join/joined that server, otherwise there are always people willing to help on all servers...they are just more scarce on darktide, but finadable.

hehe if u play DT, if ur totaly new =P and u want A Challange.

But alot people from diffrent servers want to come to DT for PVP. but there are some that hate PVP xD too bad for them i say.


If u want a challange go to DT server. Bigest monsters =P will be people like u. IF they talk bad to ya. Squelch them (like mute button) x) and try to be nice u be suprised how many pkers monrach are always helpful but there fellowers =P are jerks that it funny XD

So ya DT= lose item on death, no range on what level player can kill u u can be level 1 and they be 200 =P if they wnat to they can kill ya np and loot u.

DIs = Death items, which is items of 2 times value of the items u dont want to drop and they drop instead when u die then weapons/armor u want to keep. and it good to have like 2-5 items of each catagory of items, (helm, armor, jewerly, weapons) =P

PVP has is punishment but it those have rewards x)

o ya if u want to find a good allegiance try to find a small guild at first . the big ones always have not mature people =P. small guilds is best to go cause u get to know everyone and people in this game are more HELPFUL then in other MMORPGs.

if u die and lose items u want to keep dont worry too much =P and just learn from it get item again x) learn from falls to rise X).

DT = Anything Goes, and if u have to do cheapest things to win then do it x). I keep name of each person that killed me =P and they gona get my revange when i hit 100s+ x)

I do not have anything against DarkTide as a world, but I would advise against it for the both of you to try at the start.

Yes, It can be a challenge.

Yes, High level players will kill you over and over for fun. (Their's, not your's)

Once you have become comfortable in AC, you may very well want to create characters on DT.

AC is a rich and complicated game. You will need time to understand it and the playstyle.

An active monarchy will help, but make sure your patron is active and the monarchy stands for the type of playing you do.
