Need Help Please

i downloaded AC and it installed but when i go to launch it after i pick a world to go to all i get a a black screen on my monitor and it sits there. I let it sit there for 30 min waiting for it to do something an it did nothing. I had to turn the power off to get back to windows. :( Please help

I'm not much of a technical person...but I used to get this error when I first started playing AC.

It's probably your firewall. I would check to see if acclient.exe is listed as an application that has permission to go past the firewall.
