Hi, I have been experiencing the problem of not having the second vial fill. I will select a world and the left vial will fill, but the right will not.
I have done port forwarding for my router and modem.
I'm using a 4200 Siemens SpeedStream modem and Linksys WRT54G router with updated Firmware. I have also enabled ACclient and Launcher through my firewall.

I've e-mailed Turbine and they tell me that I must switch to NAT. There are 4 options for configuring NAT for SpeedStream. NAT&NAPT disabled, NAT Only Enabled Private (LAN), NAPT Only Enabled, and NAT& NAPT Enabled *(concurrent). I currently have NAPT enabled, however to enable NAT Only I seem to need some sort of IP. I've tried all sorts of IPs and the none work well. For instance, my modem or static IP are simply 'invalid' and aren't accepted. However, if I used an IP like 192.186.254.XXX it will be accepted as a valid IP. The problem with this is that it cuts off the internet completely, including AClauncher.

Turbine then suggested I used the NAT&NAPT. This however requires mapping. At the bottom of the screen there are two IP addresses to supply. Public (WAN) IP and private (LAN) IP. I don't know how to find these addresses.

If anyone uses Speedstream/Linksys and can play AC...please tell me how.
Any help is appreciated as I have gone through many options and looks like I'm running out.

Greetings,

There are some issues with the Speedstream DSL modems. These modems have two options for routing internet traffic NAPT (Network Address Port Translation) and NAT (Network Address Translation).
Asheron's Call does not work with NAPT routing. In order to play AC using this modem you will need to have your ISP set it to NAT. This should allow you to play. The reason for this is AC uses "Loose UDP Routing". What this means is that information that comes back from the servers is on a different port than information that is sent to them. NAPT uses the port packets are sent and received on to determine where the packet should go. Since information being sent to your computer is on a different port NAPT does not know to send the packets to your computer and drops them.

Some ISPs are able to make this change and still allow you to connect to the internet while others do not support the change. If your ISP is unable to support the NAT function of the modem you will not be able to play AC through this modem.
