Throughout the day, 7/4/06, I have received error message: Authentication failed, Please try again. My subscription and ID/password are current and correct. After 10 attempts earlier this evening, I managed to log in one of my two accounts and played for 2 buffcycles before logging out. Now I am getting the same error again, and cannot log in again. The recent technical issues such as authentication errors, yellow/red link, etc. have arisen since "hardware update", therefore the supporting server software must be at fault.

As the owner of two accounts in a game that I recently cannot reliably log into, nor play without fear of losing connection, I must say Asheron's Call is not meeting my gaming needs nor expectations. I am not getting what I am paying for! It appears that many others who are taking the time to post here are having the same negative experience.

Will Turbine Games/Asheron's Call administration recognize all the various posted complaints as valid? Will technical support make the necessary corrections?

I am sick and tired of paying for something that does not function half the time. At least a credit or something would be nice. But I dont see that happening. I need to decided whether my 12.95 per month x 2 is worth the aggrevation :mad: :mad:

as far as i know most their offices open at 11 i mean yeah its annoying but these things happen... they should get em up soon would be cool

Well I have run into this issue alot as well. I have 6 accounts with Ac and have been playing close to if not 7 years. But i know the game does this weekly. I have noticed a increase in issues since the upgrade.

To the techies of AC, There is software out there that a server never has to be brought down for any purpose. Veritas/symantics sells and promotes the software. And it works for all servers, so tellign me it dont work for game servers is not true. It goes based on your operating system not your custom programing.

Perhaps show your customers how much they mean to you and look into this software. You would not be dealing with the whiners as much regarding downtimes, and you will have prolly one of the best game server games going out there with no need to ever hear a complaint about down time. I belive it is worth looking into.

AC has been alot of joy in my life. I have gotten use to downtime. But it does not mean i like it. I see it as a neccessary evil for what you are working with, But now you have been made aware you do have other options worth looking into.

AC still has much potential to grow exponentially. Lets keep it that way! I dont want to ever see AC come down or end. it is the only game i ever played and the only game i still enjoy playing each day a couple hours.

Well, when the auth servers are being bombarded by everyone trying to log in, you will sometimes get that "Patch not found" error. If you see "Authentication server not available," that means that the servers are down.
