Help! Recalled to Villa and this happened

I recalled to my Villa and it appears I got stuck in portal space or something. Now each time I try to log in that character, I can see the UI, but the rest of the screen stays black with no portal, and I get disconnected after 40 seconds with 100% packet loss.

I logged in one of my other characters, which were inside my Villa, tried to exit the villa via my house portal, and now that character is stuck with the exact same issue.

I tried reinstalling ACToD, turning off Decal, I even turned off my firewall briefly to see if that would help, but the problem still persists with those two characters. I do not have a router.

What the heck could possibly be going on?

I know this was a common problem 2 years ago. There is a solution, but I'm not quite sure what it is. I seem to remember something weird like hitting the F5 key 5 times in a row to escape. It is either a problem with the camera angle or the graphics rendering. I might be able to give you more information if I could log in. You may have to log in with a different character and set the graphics to the lowest setting. Don't keep running through the portal though or you will stick all your characters.

Your comment about the camera angle proved correct. I disabled the "align camera to slope" option and I'm back in on both characters!

I'm not sure what "align camera to slope" means, but I'm glad you were able to recover.

This happens to me once in a while and if I step backwards it appears that I was standing at my villa lifestone (or inside my villa lifestone?) facing the wall of the villia.
