Everytime I try to login as my char Soulgod on Leafcull, it doesn't allow me to play. I get up to the screen where it says enter as char, then right when I get out of portal space the purple bubbles doesn't materialize as my character and I get kicked from the game with the message "Connection to server lost" this happens every single time I try to login my char. I thought it could be a port problem but I made sure I have all my ports open but still the same thing I login the char it gets out of portal space, I see the chat and people talking the first few lines of text, then I get kicked. any clues?

Is it any toon on that account you are having issues with? I have 3 accts and can play 20 out of 21 toons on TD. Theres problem with one toon that I cant play. When I try to log her in I get message that runtimes is closing my ac client..Only one toon one one account all others are fine and can be logged in.have tried reporting this to turbine but have still not received an answer..Getting very frustrated and not sure what to do next..Last nite 2 other people in alleg had same isue with only one toon..They sent urgent assistance to turbine and got message that the toon at issue was now unlocked...They were then able to log in that toon...This morning I tried again and same issue but I did get a patch so thought turbine might have found problem and sent me fix..Downloaded patch but still get same message.....

I started having this problem as of last night with an existing character. I just created a brand new guy and he's doing it too. The client locks up and eventually might unlock, by which point it is losing the link and closes.
And it spans computers.
I just tried again on the new guy and it logged him in, locked at the purple bubbles, then the link died while the client unlocked and tried to log him out.
Something's fishy.

It is true im kinda thinking this is a server side problem maybe. I lose my Cottage in 20 days if I don't get it paid, im over due by like 10 days now on paying.

I'm having issues on my laptop and desktop still with multiple characters. No system changes of any sort (hardware, software, network, configuration) since last night when it started happening as I ran through an Arwic portal on my way to Zaikhal. In some cases, I get in without it crashing but then I can move around and such but can't communicate or perform any actions that require the server's input (like open a door). Packet loss appears to be 100% but no other issues occur with TCP or UDP on my network.
In other words, I don't think this is client-side. Can anyone from Turbine suggest a possible solution? I really don't want to re-install, nor am I convinced in this case that it will help. I wouldn't at all mind someone on staff logging in my account to see what happens.

I found my issue, I was running a multi-homed network with 2 ip addresses on the same network, I think some packets were being sent out of 2 different addresses and got confused, so I bridged my pc network to make 1 ip and then fowarded the ports to that ip in the router, after that it worked. it could of been more then just that but it works now.

I solved my issue by turning off Decal. I have the latest version and it is fully up-to-date, but it was definitely causing the issue. So, I'm back to playing, but I had to make a melee (due to no speed-buffing) and I'm not salvaging (due to I'd prefer not to hate the game ;-)
On the plus side, performance is much better without the packet sniffing hog.
