On Solclaim we have some older guilds who are well and alive. One of them is the Crimson Knights. This monarchy was built around the start of this server and is doing great. The last few months we could greet many returning players, but also some new ones.

If you are a former member of the Crimson Knights, please feel free to contact us and to see if any of your old friends is still around.

New players are more then welcome too. We have a mature players base and we tend to socialize. Raising your character is a must to progress in this game, but helping and having time for friends is one of our high values.

Welcome back returning players. Yes the game has changed a bit but it is still as fun as the first day I started playing. If you are looking for in-game help on getting back into things and decide on Harvestgain (Shadow Spectre) or Thistledown (Light Lords) I would be happy to chat or get you un and running. I'm on the 14 day free trial. My question is: After the trial ends, will I get billed just for the monthly subscription, or for both the game AND the montly subscription?

I think I just found the answer to my question:

Using the 14 day free trial, and allowing it to resub, is just like getting the game for $12.95. No CD required, nor any other keys.

If this is correct then it's a superb deal.

lil info that may help the trial users like myself.... IF you decide to stay on after the trial version you will not have access to the housing options until u have passed 16days from the account activation date.

Be warned! This game is nicknamed Asheron's Crack for one reason! It is totally addictive! It has cause many breakups in marriages and relationships. Made people loose their job. People have gone wierd on AC!

I love it. I am an addict!

So if you have any of this at stake, perhpas you should not start this game. Just giving fair warning :)

I would like to make a suggestion on free trials. Lets provide a free month to returning players not just new accounts. I think its pretty apparent that were not going to get much if any new blood. I do finally have friends who used to play wanting to come back but would like a free month to try out the new content. To top it all off I think it would make perfect sense for you to let your current player pool hand out these keys to their old friends. Only one per account of course but who better to speak to old clan mates then us. I have had many friends tell me they would like to try & come back but are not willing to fork out the cash until they can see that things have changed. Not just new accounts, old returning players are what is going to have any hope of boosting our server pops. Please look into this idea. I would suggest that you send 10 keys to every active accounts e-mail address to be handed out freely to old accounts.

My friend signed up for the free trial a couple months ago and but has been using my comp to sign in. I just got him a new computer so is there a way to get his game downloaded on there since he technically hasn't downloaded it yet?

Yes just have him enter his email addy and then he can access the download.
Just did it for a friend of my sons on a new computer so know it works.

I stopped playing AC on and off a while ago, I saw this as a great way to get 14 free days! The only problome with that is the first day I can play the servers go down, lol. But would anyone tell me about the new changes? The last time I played was when I came back for the new explansion(The one that added blue people?)

But it seems that since I use Vista and McAfee Virus Scan AC won't run/patch...I am getting 0x80041008 error and one the threads pointed out that this is a Virus issue if you run the above configuration

I would have loved to see if I still loved it as much as I did before I had to leave...

Can you not add an exception to McAfee to allow AC to run? I know that there are some AV apps out there that will allow you to do that, but with a lot of warnings...
