I downloaded the trial, but my computer freezes at Installshield. Please help.

I made my account and then downloaded the trial, both with and without the free download manager.

But the problem is, it freezes right after I click the install.exe file everytime... and freezes the whole computer.

I do not know what to do, all help will be greatly appreciated.

It would help if you posted the specs of your computer.

Also, make sure all your windows updates are current.

I have had problems with installshield before with other programs, best thing that works for me is to try installing the program in windows Safe Mode. But since i'm pretty much a computer idiot it usually take me like 5 tries to get to windows safe mode.....think ya have to restart ur comp and press something like F1 during startup to get to the safe mode prompt. Once ya are there try installing the program...and if it works reboot windows in regualr mode and see if it works...well good luck..

You may have a virus. This is a common problem with viruses as they attempt to block you from removing them.

Also sometimes this is the first sign of a hardware problem.

More than likely it is a virus. I use the free AVAST anti-virus program for all of my PCs and it works great they also have a very small download cleaner program that you can even burn to a CD and run directly of the CD. So if you can not install it on your PC you can download it on a friends PC and then burn it to a cd in EXE format to clean your computer of a long list of the main viruses.

If it cleans the virus I would immediately download the full program and update the virus protections then scan the whole system again.
Then you should be able to play AC with no problem.

THE AC install is clean do not misunderstand me, it was most likely a virus of the net from a website or picture or something you downloaded.
