Having problems with patching free trial

I downloaded the free trial, created an account, and installed AC: ToD and now it says "Patching failed because a downloaded file was corrupted". How can I fix this?

By the way, I have already tried uninstalling, redownloading, and reinstalling the game, and the same error is still there. Help!
