Would this graphic card be able to play AC?

I *think* that the 810 was on our list of compatibility-tested cards and worked alright. That having been said, it does lack some functionality of your typical NVidia/ATI cards, so you may observer some cosmetic strangeness.

I'll check on Monday when I get into the office to be sure.

I do not believe this card will work. The Intel 82810 and 82815 chipsets are not DirectX 9 hardware compliant. I seem to recall other users crashing when the game is started with a DirectX hardware fault.

Well It only goes 16bit or 24bit. I think you have to have 32bit correct? But that doesnt make sense because I used to play AC on this computer and whenever I try to play it now it says Somthing about Directx and changing the resolution or bit depth. I read a post about how to fix the problem and it said to update my graphic drivers (and I did that) along with my sound drivers. Which I couldnt find. But the problem continued after I updated Directx and my graphic card. I have windows ME its the best I can do right now on this old computer. I think the last time I played was befor the graphic update so that could be the reason why I cant play it now.

The requirements for AC changed in July of 2005 when Throne of Destiny and the new required client was released. Now you are required to have a 32-bit DirectX 9 compliant card.

Prior to July of 2005, AC was a 16-bit graphics application.

One thing you need to do is verify that your video card is DX 9 compliant. Run Dxdiag, go to the Display tab and run the DirectDraw and Direct3D tests. There are three tests each for DirectDraw and Direct3D. You need to be able to pass all six tests.

Another problem is your operating system. ME is no longer supported starting July 2005.

Well, I passed all 6 tests so Im guessing the main problem is 24bit and windows me. Thanks Ill have to figure out another way to get on AC

My apologies for misleading you - we checked out the 845 and 865 during our compatibility run. Also, please note that Windows ME isn't on our list of supported OSes.

yah i had posted like a week ago with the same problem - Windows ME and crappy video card is the reason for the error - need to find out what interface u have for ur video card old computer no telling , AGP / PCI - waiting on some money so i can get me a new computer sense my old one i played AC with chit the bed lol. good luck with yours id maybe try getting a new video card if u plan on using that computer , one compatible direct x 9.0 and open Gl 2.0 or whatever. prolly cost $50 for an ok one depending on ur interface. and then try to use windows ME and see if u still get the error , its not compatible but it still might work lol. if not then ur really screwed :)
